Lead-in 1.Have students look at a portrait of Beethoven and answer the teacher's question: What do you know about Beethoven 2.Next, the teacher will help students have a rough understanding of Beethoven by introduction of pictures and text. Through the picture,stimulate students' interest in learning this lesson,activate students' existing background knowledge.
Pre-reaing Whlie-reading Post-reading 1.The teacher displays pictures and asks students to predict the content of this article based on the pictures and questions. And provide students with some choices to estimate what type of article this is. After the students make their choices, the teacher announces the answers and explains the characteristics of popular science literature to the students. 2.Next, the teacher will give the students a topic for discussion, and after the discussion, the teacher will present several different answers. Activity 1:reading for cohesion and coherence. 1.During the reading process, the teacher first guides students to match the meaning of each paragraph by reading the article and guide them to identify the keywords for each paragraph. 2.The teacher invites students to share their answers, and then guides them to carefully analyze the problem-solving methods.
