教材分析:
本单元的主题语境是“人与社会”---运动。本模块从另一角度呈现单元主题,语篇类型是论坛专题讨论,是新媒体语篇。文本以图文并茂的方式讲述了几位跑步者的故事,介绍了跑步给他们的生活带来的积极变化。通过这一部分的学习,学生能够体会体育运动给生活带来的乐趣和给健康带来的好处,并能运用所学讲述一位自己认识的跑步者的故事。
教学目标:
在本模块学习结束时,学生能够:
1.初步了解柱状图的特点和功能,并会利用图表和整合信息;
2.理解文本内容,分析并体会故事主人公的积极人生态度;
3.加深对单元主题意义的认识,讲述一名自己认识的跑步者。
教学重点:
1.获取到文本框架,以及跑步动机和益处等细节信息; 2.分析主人公的积极人生态度。
教学难点:
1.分析图表背后的成因; 2.理解标题内涵,加深主题意义的认识。
教学流程:
Step 1:Lead-in
1. Lead into the passage by presenting a picture of a marathon event. And encourage students to talk about their knowledge of this sport.
2. Present the bar chart in the textbook and ask students to answer the questions:
a. What key information is shown in this chart ' more→running y b. What reasons lie behind the phenomenon
设计意图:引出跑步话题,同时带领同学们初步了解柱状图的特点和功能。引导学生学会利用标题获取信息的主要内容,
并能利用横纵坐标正确读取信息。与此同时,分析图表背后的成因,培养学生通过现象分析本质的思维习惯。
Step 2:Read for the main idea
1. Predict where the text comes from. 2. Skim the whole passage quickly and get the main idea of the text.
设计意图:利用文本形式、特点,快速推断文本的类型和出处,并能够快速获取文本的大意和结构。
Step 3:Read for details
1. Read the passage again and find out the detailed information to complete the table(P44).
