My favorite book is Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea. This book is written by Jules Verne. It is one of the most famous works of science fiction in the world.
It is about an amazing adventure under the sea. It describes a picture of a world under the waves. It starts with a hunt (搜寻) for a sea monster, but the monster turns out to be a submarine (潜水艇).
When you read this book, you will feel like you are traveling with the characters. The book calls on people to respect (尊重) nature. This is the main reason why I like this book.

When Chen Jiuying read her daughter’s letter, she couldn’t help crying. Chen and her husband are now working far away from their hometown. Their daughter, Xiaoli, lives with her grandparents. Like Chen, many migrant workers (外来务工人员) leave their children behind to earn money for a better life.
