资源简介 Unit 9 Learning Lesson l Active Learning(第一课时)1.Content Analysis内容分析 本课教学内容为Unit 9的第二课时,Lesson 1, Active Learning,属于人与自我主题语境中的生活与学习,在单元中的地位为单元三个大概念中的第二个“学习生活中的学习策略”。 本课时教学是在学生已经通过Topic Talk的学习,对个人学习特点、习惯,对于树立终身学习的长远目标的基本认知后,引导学生进行学习策略的学习,学会学习。本课时基于本篇文章大概念结构化知识,将对语篇的研读转化为学生主动探究意义的学习活动,引导学生逐步形成单元主题的大概念。结合英语学习活动观的三个层次——学习理解、应用实践、迁移创新,制定教学目标、设计教学活动,以促进学生思维品质、学习能力与文化意识的发展。 本语篇属于事理说明文,采用总分结构:第一部分(第1段)说明Active Learning的定义,采用比对手法下定义,阐述什么是主动学习;第二部分(第2至6段 )从学习行为、学习效果和原因三个角度分别阐述主动学习的五个策略:listen to the outer voice、argue with inner voice、ask questions、get to the truth、focus on the message。文本在对此五个策略的介绍说明过程中,分别阐述了各自策略的reasons ( why), actions (what), 和effects (how)。文章结构、要点清晰,利于学生学习事理说明文的基本结构与说明方式。课时教学中通过分析与应用这一写作特征,促进学生的思维品质与语言能力的发展。2. Analysis of learners The target students are from senior one. They have been equipped with some knowledge about active learning, some reading skills, as well as the knowledge of some features and methods adopted in an expository article. However, they may find it hard to illustrate the text structure by using a graphic organizer. In addition, considering students' present cognitive level, some of them may have difficulty in reflecting on their own learning strategies and adjusting their learning accordingly.3. Teaching objectives By the end of the lesson, students will be able to: 1. Understand what active learning is and the suggestions given by the author. 2. Analyse the article and structure the information in each suggestion in terms of “reasons" “actions”, and “effects” 3. Employ the structured knowledge in the lesson to do self-reflection and give advice to themselves.4.
