一般过去时表示过去某个时间发生的动作或存在的状态;过去习惯性、经常性的动作、行为;过去主语的性格和所具有的能力。
一般过去时句子的基本结构:
肯定句:
主语 + 动词过去式(+其他).
否定句:
主语 + didn’t + 动词原形(+其他).
一般疑问句:
Did + 主语 + 动词原形(+其他)?

Yes, 主语 + did.
否定回答:
No, 主语 + didn’t.
动词过去式的构成有规则变化和不规则变化两种:
规则变化
①一般在动词词尾直接加ed
watch-watched plant-planted
②以不发音的字母e结尾的动词,直接在词尾加d

③以“辅音字母+y”结尾的单词,先变y为i,再加ed
study-studied
④以重读闭音节结尾且末尾只有一个辅音字母的动词,先双写末尾的辅音字母,再加ed
