Have you heard of a staycation It is a vacation spent at your home or somewhere in your hometown. It's the combination (组合) of the words “stay” and “vacation”. In recent years, it has become a popular trend. The word has even been added to the Oxford English Dictionary.
This summer, my family and I had a staycation in Shanghai. We didn't go anywhere far away, but we still made two “accomplishments (成就)”.
The first thing I did was improving my ping-pong skills. I went to a two-week-long ping-pong camp. Every morning, I had to wake up at 6 a.m. and arrive at school for intensive (集中的) training that lasted for six hours. Our coach was Zhou Miaogen, who used to train many world champions. He taught me many useful skills. I made new friends as well!
Also, we went to a nearby island called Shengsi in the East China Sea. We stayed in wooden houses. There was a beach with crystal (清澈的) blue waters and golden sand right outside our window. The seafood there was very delicious. Every night, we walked along the beach. We also rented a jet ski (喷气式水艇) to ride in the sea. It was really exciting, especially when the waves dragged (拖动) us farther away from the shore (海岸).

Five teenagers from Sarasota, the US, make music from garbage. The Garbage-Men band's instruments are made from recycled things. Their guitars are boxes. A horn (号) is made from pipes (管道). Their keyboard is made from old bottles.

After Jack showed his hand-made guitar to his friend Ollie Gray, Ollie had the idea to form a band using other homemade instruments.
“We want to show people there is more to recycle than throw things away,” Jack, 17, said. Ollie, 16, plays the drums made from trash cans.
The Garbage-Men plays at local events around Sarasota, including festivals, farmer's markets and community charity events. They set up on the street and perform popular songs. They talk about recycling and offer tips for how to help the environment.

Some day, you may think, “Wouldn't it be nice if the laundry would just do itself ” Self-cleaning clothes may sound crazy. But Australian scientists have found a way to make something like this possible!
A team at RMIT University in Melbourne, Australia, found a way to put special nanostructures (纳米结构) into clothing, which can then clean the clothes. When sunlight hits the nanostructures, they break down the dirt on your clothes.
The nanostructures don't break down the actual clothing. That's because cotton and the other clothing materials (材料) are too strong to be broken down. According to CNN, the scientists cover the clothing in a solution made from silver and copper (铜) nanostructures. It takes 40 minutes of sunlight and then your clothes will look as good as new.
So if you spill on yourself during lunch, you can go outside for a walk. And it will be clean by the time you go inside. It not only makes your life easier, but it can also be good for the environment. According to the US Department of Energy, the average load of laundry uses about 25 gallons (about 94 liters) of water. Water is a very important resource. So using less of it to wash clothes is better for the environment. But one of the scientists at RMIT University thinks more work needs to be done.
“There's more work to do before we can start throwing out our washing machines,” said Rajesh Ramanathan, “but this is a strong foundation (基础).”
So what's the next step Ramanathan wants to either start selling the solution by itself or asking clothing makers to treat the clothing with the solution while clothes are being made.
( )68.What can we know from the passage

Traditional culture lasts forever. Paper cutting is a symbol of Chinese traditional culture. Here are some introductions about paper cutting.
Paper cutting sounds easy but it is difficult for some people to make it. There are lots of shapes about paper cutting, such as animals and flowers. I will learn to make a paper cutting and put it on the window. At the same time, I will make videos about some paper cuttings and put them online. Many people will learn about paper-cutting through my videos.
