教材分析
本课时活动形式为听和说，主题为探究世界上不同种类的英语。听力材料由两部分组成，前 半部分介绍了世界上不同种类的英语，它们在词汇、发音和语法等方面存在差异，这些差异 造成了母语非英语者的交流障碍；后半部分听力材料以分角色朗读的形式呈现了因英美式英 语的差异而导致的交流障碍。接着，学生分角色读另外一个对话材料，材料呈现了英美式英 语的差异，同时也提供了询问差异、澄清误解的句型结构，该环节为后续学生说的活动提供 了语言支架。
教学目 标
在本课学习结束后，学生能够：
1.听懂世界上的不同种类的英语的介绍，并归纳要点。
2. 提取和归纳询问差异及澄清误解的话题句型结构。
3. 听懂因词汇方面的差异造成的误解并正确使用相关句型结构澄清误解。 教学重难点

Task 1
Step 1 Pre-listening
1. Watch a film clip from Zootopia and discuss the following questions.
(1)Are Judy and Chief Bogo speaking the same kind of English
(2)What kind of English do Judy and Chief Bogo speak respectively
(3)What are the other kinds ofEnglish
设计意图：通过观看电影《疯狂动物城》电影片段，引入本课的课堂主题，世界上不同种类 的英语。
Step 2 While-listening
1.Work on Activity 1.Listen to the first part of the talk and answer the following questions.
(1)What are the different kinds of English mentioned
(2)In what aspects are these kinds of English different
(3)What can these differences cause for non-native speakers
2.Work on Activity 2.Listen to the second part of the talk.What are the two pairs of words that the student is confused by Tick them in the boxes.

Step 4 Role-paly
1.Work on Activity 4.Read the conversation.Then answer the following questions.

2.Provide some expressions to ask for clarification. 3.Role-play the conversation.

Step 5 Listening

Step 6 Discussion
1.What causes the diversity of English
2.What can we do to avoid misunderstanding caused by different varieties of English

Step 7 Assignment
Do a research on more information of the other kinds of English and share it with your classmates.
