教材分析
本课是一节阅读课，该语篇主要由两部分构成，第一部分主要介绍了汽车对英国社会人们的 影响，如汽车数量的增长、车祸造成的死亡率、汽车污染以及引发的各种疾病等；第二部分 主要介绍了环保专家给出的如何减少使用汽车的五条环保建议，虽然合理且简单易行，但是 人们在执行时有一定的困难，主要是汽车成为了生活的一部分，人们已经离不开汽车了。
教学目标
在本课学习结束时，学生能够：
1.了解英国社会汽车对人们的影响；
2. 明确作者的观点，就环保专家提出的如何减少汽车使用的建议发表自己的看法； 3.对比中西方汽车文化，提升环保意识。
教学重难点

1.通过学习这篇文章，使学生了解在英国汽车对人们都有哪些影响。
2.能够结合实际，就如何减少汽车使用的建议发表看法并对建议进行补充，提升环保意识。 【教学难点】
通过了解汽车对人们生活的影响，如何从我做起，减少汽车使用，为环保事业做贡献。
教学过程
Step 1 Warm Up
1.Take turns to ask and answer questions.

3) How do you feel when you get stuck in traffic jams
4) Why have your parents decided to rent an apartment near our school 2.Report your partner's answers to the class.
设计意图：从学生的日常生活着手，谈论每天如何到校、花多长时间、感受如何等，基于生 活，学生有话可说，自然导入本课学习。
Step 2 Read and Explore
1.Below is a passage about car uses in Britain.Guess the answers to the questions before you read the passage.
设计意图：读前预测答案，为下一步阅读做好铺垫。

5.Read Part 1 more carefully.Complete the notes in the diagram.Then think about any possible solutions to the problems;

设计意图：利用记笔记阅读策略，完成两部分阅读笔记。 7.Think about the following questions:
设计意图：重点读第二部分内容，找出人们不愿意放弃开车的理由及其原因；熟练掌握专家 关于如何减少汽车使用的建议。
Step 3 Retell
Retell the text according to the structure of the text.
设计意图：根据文章结构图(思维导图),复述课文内容。巩固所学，为后面小组讨论输出 做准备。
Step 4 Discuss
In groups,discuss these questions.
1 What is the writer's attitude towards cars Find some evidence from the passage.
2 How do you understand the title“The Road to Destruction”
3 Are the traffic problems in your city better,worse or the same as those in Britain
4 What has the government done or what should it do to help with traffic problems
设计意图：小组活动，四个讨论问题选一个进行深入探讨，问题涉及到作者态度、文章标题 理解，联系实际，比较自己所居住城市的交通和伦敦交通状况、政府为改进交通都做了哪些 工作等，这是读后任务的延伸和拓展，有利于学生批判性思维能力的养成。
Step 5 Assignment
Watch the video“Important Thingsto Know before Taking Public Transport in London”and write down the important things.Then conduct research on the public transportation in your city/area. Summarize some important things to know before taking public transport in your city/pare the differences and similarities between your city's public transportation and London's. What suggestions can you put forward to help improve public transportation in your city/area

教材分析
本课是一节词汇语法课，聚焦固定搭配Collocations (2)。
教学目标
在本课学习结束时，学生能够：
1.了解固定搭配的定义、学习固定搭配的意义、方法以及固定搭配的几种搭配形式； 2.拓展固定搭配常用词汇，并在句子和文本练习中体会固定搭配的用法和意义；
3.利用所学固定搭配词汇编写一段与traffic有关的短文。
教学重难点
【教学重点】
1.回顾课文内容，回答与课文内容相关的主要的问题，巩固所学。
2.选择和使用恰当的固定搭配词汇在不同语篇中的正确使用；同时用所给固定搭配词汇编 写与交通有关的短文。
【教学难点】
根据要求，用所给固定搭配词汇中至少五个固定搭配编写与交通有关的逻辑清晰、语言到位 的短文。
教学过程
Step 1 Review

5) “The road to something”is a collocation,which means 2.Brainstorm words/phrases related to traffic.
设计意图：两人一组，轮流回答问题。回顾课文内容，并就最后一个问题引出固定搭配词汇； 头脑风暴与Traffic相关的词汇，并指出固定搭配词汇，引导学生答出固定搭配的含义。
Step 2 Grammar
1.Understand the meaning of collocations,why to learn them,how to learn them.
设计意图：学生掌握固定搭配的含义、了解为什么要学固定搭配，如何学习固定搭配，这为 学生今后学好英语提供了实用好方法。

2.Types ofcollocation:there are several different types of collocation made from combinations of verb,noun,adjective etc.
设计意图：学生根据固定搭配的类型，清楚搭配规则，有利于正确使用。
3.Look at the Word Builder.Match the words(1-8)with the endings (a-h)to form common collocations.Then use the collocations to complete the summary.
设计意图：学生用Word Builder中的词汇，先完成组合固定搭配词组，然后用这些词组填空， 完成语篇练习。
4.Decide which word,a or b,collocates in these sentences.
设计意图：根据句子的意思，选择正确的固定搭配词。引导学生区分易混词汇练习。
5.Match the words or phrases on the left(1-8)with those on the right (a-h)to make collocations. Then complete the paragraph with the correct form.

Make a poster based on what you have learnt to encourage people in your neighborhood to use their vehicles wisely.Search for facts and data to make your poster convincing.Then share in groups/class.
设计意图：学生根据社区车辆使用情况，通过上网查相关资料，完成制作规劝人们理智使用 车辆的海报。理论联系实际，知识迁移，学以致用。
