Unit 11 Conflict and Compromise Viewing Workshop
一、教学内容分析
本课是选择性必修四第11单元的视听说课，视频的主题是“父母和孩子之间冲突的 产生和解决”。视频讲述了一对母女因为女儿晚回家而发生的矛盾，双方经过坦诚地沟通 表达了各自的观点和看法，最终解决了问题。本课的意义在于让学生认识到，与别人有不 同观点或产生分歧或矛盾时，应恰当地表达自己的看法，具体地陈述己方的理由，以促成 分歧或矛盾的妥善解决，进而提升解决生活中的问题的能力。
二、语篇分析
【What】 视频完整地呈现了“母亲”和“女儿”之间产生冲突、坦诚沟通、彼此妥协到消弭矛盾 的全过程。视频中，“女儿”因为晚归引起了“母亲”的不满。起初，双方的情绪都很激 动，语气很强烈，激烈地陈述、维护自己的观点，最后不欢而散。事后，“女儿”主动地 找到“母亲”解决问题、化解矛盾。这一次沟通时，双方站在平等的立场，也都尝试从对 方的角度看问题。事实证明，坦诚、理智的沟通是解决矛盾、冲突的关键。最后，“女儿 做出妥协，“母亲”也后退一步，冲突得以解决。 【Why】 高中阶段的学生处于青春期的中后期，这一阶段的学生在心理、生理、认知和情感等方 面都发生着显著的变化。学生和父母在学业、兴趣、行为习惯等方面产生矛盾、分歧是很 普遍的现象。学生观看本视频，学习视频中解决冲突的方法，学会在实际生活中通过有效 沟通，合理阐述自己的观点和理由，倾听、理解别人的解释和建议，从而消除分歧、化解 矛盾，建立和谐的人际关系。 【How】 三个视频片段中，人物对话的口语化特征非常明显。对话中使用了一些口语表达和俚 语，如a bit late,that's it,I hate this house,Yeah,you're right等。在陈述原因时，运用了 一些表达个人观点的单词、短语，如personally,in my opinion

已有基础： 已有知识：通过前几个课时的学习，学生已经知道矛盾、冲突是形式各样、普遍存在的， 而沟通和妥协是解决冲突的关键。 已有能力：通过前几个课时的学习，学生积累一些主题词汇，很多学生已经具备描述冲突 的能力。 存在问题： 生活经验：虽然学生和父母之间的冲突是比较常见的现象；但是，在实际中，很多这样的 冲突并未得到有效地解决，最后都不了了之。很多学生缺乏辩证地反思过去发生的家庭冲 突的经验。 认知：很多学生没有形成主动解决矛盾、冲突的认知。
四、教学目标
通过本课时学习，学生能够： 1.获取母女二人发生矛盾的相关信息(如产生的原因，双方的理由和解决的途径等),并 完成相关任务； 2.评价母女双方解决矛盾的方式，并能够运用所学语言描述矛盾解决的过程； 3.能够形成主动解决矛盾、冲突的认知，并能够运用主动沟通、妥协让步等方式解决生活 中的矛盾。
五、教学重难点
【 重 点 】 获取并梳理视频中母女之间发生的矛盾的具体信息并完成相关任务。 【 难 点 】 能够运用所学语言描述矛盾从产生到解决的过程，形成主动解决矛盾、冲突的认知。
六、教学活动设计
环 节 一 ：导入话题，激活已知(10 mins) 学生听一段听力材料，结合所听取的信息，回答问题。然后，学生就话题相关的问题展开 讨论并分享自己的观点。
