Language Points
1. May I have your name
May I have your name 也是一种询问姓名的方式,相较于What’s your name 来说,它更委婉、更礼貌,特别适合与陌生人交流或者是用在正式场合当中。
这句话中的may是一个情态动词,它表达了一种请求的语气,听起来更加客气。
2. Nice to meet you.
Nice to meet you. = Glad to meet you. 意思是“很高兴见到你”。
3. Where are you from
Where are you from 可用于对出生地、家乡、国籍提问,回答可以是一个国家、地区或城市。例如:
