Wang Mei: It’s a little far. We can go by underground, and then
walk about 10 minutes.

and turn right to Fanxi Road. You will see the bookstore on
your left , next to the library.

a little 一点儿；有点儿
(1)该短语可表示程度，修饰形容词、副词或动词。
She’s a little afraid of the dog. 她有点儿害怕狗。(修饰形容词)
Can you run a litte fast 你能跑得稍微快点吗 (修饰副词)
Please turn down the radio a little.请把收音机音量调小一点儿。(修饰动词)
(2)a little还可以修饰不可数名词。
There is a little milk in the fridge. Let’s go to the supermarket to buy some.
冰箱里只剩下一点儿牛奶了。咱们去超市买一些吧。

【辨析】a little/little/a few/few用法的差别
Language points
a little 表示肯定含义，意为“一点儿；少量” 修饰不可数名词 I know a little French.
我懂一点儿法语。
little 表示否定含义，意为“几乎没有” I have little free time.
我几乎没有空闲时间。

【辨析】a little/little/a few/few用法的差别
Language points
a few 表示肯定含义，意为“少量，一些” 修饰可数名词复数 His mother works a few hours a day.
他妈妈一天工作几个小时。
few 表示否定含义，意为“几乎没有” There are few eggs in the fridge.
冰箱里几乎没有鸡蛋了。
3. Oh, go down Zhongshan East Road.
Turn right at the traffic lights. The museum will be on your right.
Then go straight and turn right to Fanxi Road.（教材P58 2）
问路时常见的几种说法
(1)go down 沿着······走
down 在此作介词，表示“沿着，顺着，朝着”。
同义短语：go along
Go down the street, and you can see the hospital on your left.
沿着这条街走,你可以看到医院在你的左边。

(2)turn left/right 向左/右转
该短语在句意上相当于 turn to the left/right。
turn left/right into/to...向左/右转进入······
Turn left at the end of the road.
在路的尽头左转。
You can turn right into Shengli Road and then walk on.
你可以向右转进入胜利路，然后向前走。
(3)on one’s left/right 在某人的左/右边
其中one’s 也可换作 the，即on the left/right“在左边/右边”。
The park is on my left. 公园在我的左边。
People drive on the left in England. 在英国，人们靠左行驶。
Our school is just on the left of my house. 我们学校就在我家左边。

(4)straight adv. 径直；直接；坦率地 adj. 直的；准的
①[副词]径直；直接 常与动词 come、go、walk 等连用。
Come straight home after school. 放学后直接回家。
Go straight down, and then turn left. 一直往前走，然后向左拐。
②[副词]坦率地
Just give me a yes or no straight. 坦白地回答我是或不是。
③[形容词]直的；准的
Zhang Fang has long straight hair. 张芳有着一头又长又直的头发。
Draw a straight line on your paper. 在你的纸上画一条直线。

5. 清辅音/s/的发音要领
发/s/音时，双唇微开，上下齿接近于合拢状态，舌端及舌
尖靠近上齿龈，气流从舌端齿龈所形成的窄缝中送出，摩
擦成音，发音时声带不振动。
6. 发音为/s/的常见字母和字母组合：
