Step1 Preparation 1. Greeting Ask students about what plays have they ever taken part in. Teacher explains the words “play” and have students get to know this word. Step2 Presentation 1. Ss observe the four pictures on P8 and describe each picture using their own words. 2. Have Ss predict something about each picture. Listen to the video and get to know to the whole idea of this part. Step3 Practice 1. Listen again to tick the animal words you hear. And answer some questions teacher asks to get more details about the passage. 2. Teacher explains some difficult points and new words or phrases to Ss. Step4 Production 1. Listen again to check their answer. 2. Finish Activity 2 and 3. Have them check their answers with the desk mates. 3. Teacher checks the answer. Step5 Progress Act the story out. 1. Act the story in the listening part. 2. Tell their own experience in the life. Homework: 1. Listen to this part for 3 times. 2. Activity book P8.

Step1 Preparation 1. Greeting 2. Review the story we’ve learned yesterday. Ask Ss what are they going to do tomorrow.. Step2 Presentation 1. Show picture on P9. Have students describe the picture in their own words. 2. Teacher guides students to say the sentence using be going to. 3. Have Ss read A4 and finished filling the blank. Teacher checks the answers and explain more details in this passage. Step3 Practice 1. Read again to answer these questions. Where are Helen and Robert going to go What are they going to say What’s the film about ... 2. T checks the answers. Step4 Production Read and cross out the extra word in A6. Check the answer with their partners. Check the answer together. Step5 Progress 1. Write questions with ‘going to’. For example: Who/see/weekend. Who are you going to see at the weekend. 2. Practice for 2 minutes. Invite some students to show their sentences. Homework Activity Book P9. Make sentences using be going to.

Step1 Preparation Greeting Review Ask Ss what ancient stories they know. Step2 Presentation Have students brainstorm about some beasts they know. T take dragon as an example. Have Ss describe the beast.. Have Ss look at the pictures on P10. Find out the one they know and describe. Step3 Practice Have students read the whole passage to get the whole idea and divide these animals by asking which animals have wings/tails/are part human Have students read each paragraph. T asks some questions for each paragraphs. What have Griffins got What have they got on their body What do they guard Finish the following paragraphs like what we do above. Step4 Production Listen to the passage and follow. Teacher explains more details that students don’t understand. Try to retell one of these beasts or heroes and describe their appearance. Step5 Progress Listen again. Repeat the word and say the letter. Finish A11. Teacher checks the answers. Reviewed what we’ve learned today. Homework Recite the whole passage. Activity book P10.
