May I have your name 我可以知道你的名字吗?
是询问对方姓名的问句,比“What’s your name ”更礼貌些,通常用于正式场合或与不太熟悉的人交流。常用“My name is ... / I’m ...”回答。

—My name is Linda. 我的名字叫琳达。

2. How do you spell your name
How do you spell your name 如何拼写你的名字?
(1)是由how引导的特殊疑问句,用来询问如何拼写某个单词或某人的名字。
(2)答语中的每个字母都大写,且字母间用连字符“-”连接。
—How do you spell “pencil” 你如何拼写“pencil”?
—P-E-N-C-I-L.
Language points
3. You can call me Emma.
(1) call sb. + 名字 “叫某人……”
(2) call sb. at + 电话号码 “拨打……找某人”
e.g. Call me Lucy, please. 请叫我璐茜。
Call her at 0362-6555876.
给她打电话,号码是0362-6555876。

4. How are you 你好吗?
How + be + sb./sth. 某人/某事怎么样?
一般用于熟人见面时,主要用来问候身体健康状况,译为“你好吗?”或“你身体好吗?”其答语为“I‘m fine, thanks.” 或“Fine, thank you.”出于礼貌并常加上一句And you (那么你呢?)来询问对方。这时,可以用:I'm fine, too./ Fine, too./ Not (too) bad, thank you.等作答。

【拓展】当主语是第三人称单数时,be动词用is; 其他情况下,be动词通常用are。
—How is your mother 你妈妈好吗?
—She is fine, thank you.她很好,谢谢你。
—How are your parents 你父母好吗?
—They’re fine, thanks.他们很好,谢谢。
