第一课时(1a-2d)
Study of the Text                         
What: This lesson is a listening lesson.1a is about the names of common plants and animals in a yard scene.1b talks about the plants and animals in the yard. Learn and consolidate the names of plants and animals in the yard and master the target vocabulary and sentence patterns. In 2a and 2b, students need to master the numbers 1—15 by listening, repeating and dictating. 2c includes three listening conversations about the description of animal and plant species and numbers. 2d is to talk about the plants and animals in the picture in 1a. It's the output of language.
Why: Through pictures, conversations, and listening, students can learn the names of common plants and animals found in yard scenes.
How: Through illustrations and listening dialogues, the core sentence patterns of “asking about the names of plants and animals” and “asking about the number of plants and animals” are input. It is close to students' daily life and is contextualized so that students can feel a sense of immersion.

By the end of this lesson, students will be able to:
1.talk about the names of plants and animals in a yard;
2.listen for the names and the number of plants and animals in a yard;
3.make a conversation about plants and animals in a yard in groups.

1.To talk about the names of plants and animals in a yard. Step 1 Lead-in Create a situation: Social Practice Day. Today is Social Practice Day. We will go to Fu Xing's grandparents' yard to help them! Here are three tasks for you. Task 1: Know the plants and animals. Task 2: Count the plants and animals. Task 3: Sell goods through livestreaming. Step 2 Work on Task 1 Know the plants and animals. 1.Look and say. What plants can you see in the yard ◎Key: apple trees, tomato plants, flowers…  What animals can you see in the yard ◎Key: a dog, a goose, baby chickens, rabbits, ducks… 2.Work on 1a. Look at the picture. Match the plants and animals with their names. ◎Key: B; E; C; A; D; F 3.Work on 1b. Talk about the plants and animals in the picture in 1a. Tip: 距离近用this, these(复数形式);距离远用that, those(复数形式) Observe students' perfor-mance in answering the questions and learn about their vocabulary reserves about the names of the plants and animals. Observe whether students can tell the names of the plants and animals in the picture comprehensively and whether they can use correct sentence patterns for the singular and the plural, and capture how well they internalize what they have learned.
Purpose To introduce the topic, create a situation, and arouse students' interest in learning about the courtyard by playing a game and doing a task. Through scenario-based pictures and conversation practice, activate students' vocabulary and sentence patterns about the names of plants and animals in a yard.

Study of the Text                         
What: This lesson is a phonetic lesson. Part 1 presents a table with the pronunciations and words containing the 5 vowel letters. Part 2 distinguishes two different pronunciations of the 5 vowel letters. Parts 3 and 4 consolidate the pronunciations of the vowel letters in words by recognizing and chanting respectively.
Why: Through repeating, categorizing, chanting and other forms, students can master the basic pronunciation of the 5 vowel letters as well as the pronunciation rules, and at the same time learn to recognize their different pronunciations in different words. Students will master certain pronunciation rules and initially establish phonological awareness.
How: Demonstrate the pronunciations of the 5 vowel letters and their rules by categorizing and chanting.

1.pronounce the different sounds of the 5 vowel letters;
2.learn the pronunciation rules of the 5 vowel letters;

Purpose Through short and catchy text, the different pronunciations of the 5 vowel letters and the pronunciation rules are presented in turn, clarifying the key points of pronunciation of each phoneme. Students will be able to perceive and summarize the differences in the pronunciations of the vowel letters in different words, so as to master their pronunciation rules.
3.To tell and read the different sounds of the 5 vowel letters in different words. Step 4 Practice 1.Work on 2. Listen to the words.Put them into the correct groups. 2.Work on 3. Practise reading the words. 3.Work on 4. Listen and read the chant aloud. Observe whether students can recognize the different pronun-ciations in order to categorize them. Capture how well students internalize what they have learned. Focus on students' ability to read the chant aloud correctly and confidently.Give guidance and feedback as needed.
Purpose Through different forms of practice activities such as repeating, sorting and chanting, help students to further consolidate the different pronunciations of the 5 vowel letters they have learned.
Homework Required: Read the vowel letters a, e, i, o, u. Optional: 1.Find more words with the ten sounds and try to spell new words using the pronunciation rules you've learned. 2.Prepare a notebook to accumulate the pronunciation knowledge you have got this semester.
