一、板块定位
本单元的主题范畴是“人与社会”,是“社会服务与人际沟通”主题群下“良好的人际关系与人际交往”的子主题内容;话题是“介绍自己与他人”。涉及的语篇类型有图片、对话、音频、视频、人物介绍等。本单元的教学旨在帮助学生认识、问候新同学,初步介绍自己与他人,结识更多新朋友,尽快融入新环境,开启求学新征程。 整个单元的七个板块分别涉及“介绍自己与他人”的多个层面。
Reading板块话题为“欢迎来到七年级(1)班”, 语篇是四个简短的人物简介,包括一个自我介绍和三个介绍他人的简短语篇,在welcome to the unit板块介绍人物基本信息的基础上,增加了特长、性格等维度,表达的面更广,语言更丰富。
【What】四篇人物简介结构清晰、语言简洁、内容丰富。第一篇以第一人称介绍自己的姓名、学校、班级、年龄、爱好等,再引入三位新同学;后三篇以第三人称从姓名、外貌、特长、爱好、性格等不同维度进行人物简介。
【Why】本单元的教学旨在帮助学生结识更多新朋友、尽快融入新环境,从而快速开启求学新征程。熟悉自我介绍及介绍他人的方法是认识、问候新同学结交新朋友的必然要求。
【How】四篇简介均抓住了四位同学的显著特征,也包含介绍人物的主题词汇,如tall, slim, friendly, polite, smart, be good at, be interested in, be ready to等,以及核心表达方式,如“I’m …, a new student at …”“I’m in …”“This is …”“He/She is …”“He/She likes …”“He/She can …”等。
二、教学目标
通过本课时学习,学生能够:
1. 进一步了解七年级(1)班的四位学生的具体信息并能简要介绍他们,如姓名、年龄、爱好、性格及特长等(学习理解);
2.获取、梳理、分析和整合介绍自己与他人的语篇的关键结构与语言信息,并从第三人称角度介绍Millie(应用实践);
3. 在真实语境中,以简短的口头表达及简单的书面语篇介绍个人及他人情况,完成交际任务(迁移创新);
4. 聚焦单元话题,了解介绍自己和他人的目的在于交到志同道合的、有共同特征的朋友。(迁移创新)
三、教学设计
Step 1. Review
Review the information about the six students in Class 1, Grade 7 and have students answer the following questions.
Do you remember their Chinese and English names
What do we learn from them in the last class

设计意图:导入环节开门见山,通过复习Welcome部分的六位同学打招呼及自我介绍的内容引入主题,激活已有知识,激发学习兴趣。
Step 2. Pre-reading
Free talk
Have students try to introduce the four students about their age, character, looks and hobbies by looking at their photos.
Possible answer Daniel wears glasses. He has short hair. His hair is short. Simon looks nice. He has short hair. His hair is short. Sandy wears glasses. She has long hair. Her hair is long. She is nice/kind/friendly/polite. She likes playing the piano. Millie looks pretty. She has short hair. Her hair is short. She is nice/kind/friendly/polite. She loves reading.
设计意图:读前环节,鼓励学生通过观察人物插图,简要描述他们的外貌,培养学生“看”和“说”的学习技能;通过回忆welcome已学知识,描述Millie 和Sandy 的爱好及性格,培养学生的理解性和表达性技能,并以未知内容激发学生的学习热情。
Step 3. While-reading
Listening
Have students listen to Millie’s self-introduction and find out the structure of the profile.

Have students work in group and find out the structure of the profile for Daniel, Simon and Sandy.(Each group finds the profile of only one student)

Have students read the four introductions again and find out the sentences about how to introduce others, and introduce Millie according to the profile and sentences.

Have students read the four introductions again and finish the four profiles.

设计意图:通过听、说、读等独立及小组活动学习介绍自己及他人的文本,梳理其主要内容和细节信息,分析人物介绍类语篇涉及的不同维度,归纳简介结构、人物介绍的主题词汇和语言表达,以第三人称创设Millie简介,在实现知识的结构化的同时进行应用实践。
Step 4. Post-reading
(1) Have students finish Part A on page 9 introduce the four students’ hobbies with more than three sentences

(2) Have students finish Part B on page 9 and correct the mistakes.

(3) Have students finish Part C on page 10 and answer the questions.

设计意图:(1)-(2)学习理解类基于语篇,巩固四位同学的具体信息,内化人物介绍的语言结构,为创设自己及他人的简介做好准备。(3)应用实践类活动深入语篇,引导学生运用、内化文本中有关“人物介绍”这一话题的语言知识和文化知识,拓宽人物介绍的维度,了解更多关于人物介绍的词汇和句式,巩固结构化知识,促进知识向能力的转化。同时,引导学生思考“我要跟谁交朋友?为什么”,探究自我介绍及介绍他人的意义所在。 (4) 迁移创新类活动超越语篇,鼓励学生根据profile及梳理的语言表达,积极创设自己及他人的简介,运用所学知识技能、方法策略等在新的情境中自由表达,在游戏中介绍自己熟悉的同学,相互聆听猜测该简介介绍的是哪位同学。本活动寓教于乐,可促使学生广交朋友、积极融入集体,促进能力向素养的转化。
