They are unique, aren’t they Ss: Yes.T: Who do you like best Why Ss: …T: What are you good at Are you proud of yourself Step 2: Presentation建议:展示一些的图片,提出问题,教授本课时词汇。unique /ju ni k/ adj. 独特的SOS 紧急求救(国际救难信号,一般作为海难求救信号)ourselves /a selvz/ pron. 我们自己talent / t l nt/ n. 才智;天赋person n. 人+ -al(形容词后缀)→personal/ p s nl/ adj. 个人的strength /stre θ/ n. 长处;力量suppose /s p z/ v. 假定;认为is supposed to 应该;被期望sense /sens/ n. 意义;感觉【设计意图】用图片新授单词,让学生可以对形象生动的画面产生深刻的印象,激发学习兴趣,调动多种感观参与学习活动,更好地理解单词意思以及在语境中的用法。Step 3: Listening 建议:播放录音,选择正确答案。1. What’s up 怎么了?What’s up 用于口语,意为“怎么了 /有什么事 /近来怎么样 ”。类似用法还有:What’s wrong with you What’s the matter/trouble with you What’s happened to you 都可以意为“怎么回事 /有什么事 ”。2. No problem! 没问题!“No problem.”用于口语,意为“没问题”,表示对对方的请求作出的积极而肯定的答复。【例句】—Please help me move the desk. —No problem. ——请帮我移动一下书桌。——没问题。problem为可数名词, 意为“问题,难题”。【例句】Pollution brings a lot of problems. 污染带来了许多问题。The problem is the price of the ticket. 问题是票价(太贵了)。3. We are supposed to describe ourselves in a report.我们应该在报告中描述自己。be supposed to意为“应该”,相当于should,表示建议、义务或责任等。be supposed to的时态、人称和数的变化在be动词上体现,to为不定式符号,后面接动词原形。【例句】You are supposed to write to her as soon as possible.你应该尽快给她写信。4. Yes, that makes sense. 是的,有道理。make sense 有意义,有道理【例句】I guess that makes sense. 我想那蛮有道理。It makes sense to care for your health. 保重身体是明智的。5. It’s my pleasure. 这是我的荣幸。It’s my pleasure.也常写作My pleasure.,意为 “不客气;不用谢”,是对别人表示感谢时的一种应答语。【例句】—Thanks a lot for your kind help. —It’s my pleasure. ——非常感谢你的热心帮助。——不客气。【拓展】with pleasure意为“当然了,很愿意”,表示愿意提供帮助或乐于参与。【例句】—Will you join us —Thank you, with pleasure. ——你愿意和我们一起吗 ——谢谢,非常愿意。Step 8: Summary让学生自己总结本节课主要学习了什么,还有哪些疑惑?教师可作补充。For example: 本节课我们主要学习了怎样用英语如何描述自己的才能和个人优势,这是我们这一节课的重点和难点,我们会在以后的学习中继续学习和巩固。
课堂作业 1.口头作业: 朗读课文。2.书面作业: 写一篇短文,介绍一下你的才能和个人优势。
