I just failed my English exam… 我英语考试没及格……fail可作及物动词，意为“不及格”；fail还可作不及物动词，意为“失败”。【例句】He failed his driving test. 他驾驶执照考试没及格。He worked hard, but he still failed. 他工作很努力，但仍然失败了。4. But Krista was not going to let Peter give up. 但克里斯塔不想让彼得放弃。give up表示“放弃”，可以单独使用，也可以接名词、动词-ing作宾语。【例句】Don’t give up! You’ll make it! 别放弃！你会成功的！Can you give up smoking, Dad 爸爸，您能戒烟吗？5.
