What rules can you find
1. They have the letters “a, e,i,o,u”.
2. There is a letter after “a,e,i,o,u”.
3. They end with “e” or “o”.

You can determine how many syllables a word has based on how many vowels are in that word

Open Syllabels
(开音节)
When the vowel is at the end of a syllable and there is no consonant trapping or closing in the vowel, the vowel says its long name.

What rule is it now
Open Syllabels
(开音节)
When the vowel is at the end of a syllable and there is no consonant trapping or closing in the vowel, the vowel says its long name.
开音节: 在开音节中,元音字母发他本身字母音。
1. 绝对开音节: 是以元音字母结尾,如:blue ba-by stu-dent se-cert
2. 相对开音节:辅音字母+元音字母辅音字母+不发音e的音节(re除外)
