第一课时(1a-2e)
Study of the Text                         
What: It is a listening and speaking lesson. 1a presents the names of common objects in study and life through the dialogue and the picture. 1b is about asking for personal belongings in schoolbags, asking students to consolidate the content of 1a and master the target vocabulary and the sentence structure through dialogues. 2a and 2b present words about colours through pictures and dialogues. 2c and 2d are listening exercises about describing the colours of objects. 2e asks students to describe the objects and their colours.
Why: Through pictures, conversations and listening, students can grasp the names and colours of the items in daily life, and learn to ask questions about these objects and colours.
How: The textbook uses pictures, conversations, and listening practice to show the core sentence patterns of “asking about personal belongings” and “asking about colours”. The content is close to the daily life of students', so students have something to say.
Teaching Objectives                         
By the end of this lesson, students will be able to:
1.learn about the things in their schoolbags;
2.learn about the expression of colours;
3.talk about their belongings and the colours with “have”.

1.To learn about the things in students' schoolbags. Step 2 Work on Task 1 Learn about the things in their schoolbags. 1.Finish 1a. Look at the picture. Match the things with the names. Check like this: —What do you have in your schoolbag —I have… ◎Key: B; D; C; A; F; E 2.Work on 1b. Talk about what you have in your schoolbag. e.g. —What do you have in your schoolbag —I have… Observe the students' performance in answer-ing the questions and learn about their vocabu-lary reserves about personal belongings in their life. Observe whether students can use correct sentence patterns to express personal belong-ings to capture how well they internalize what they have learned and the language they use. 
Purpose To introduce the topic, create a situation, and arouse students' interest in expressing personal belongings. Through scenario-based pictures and dialogue practice, students can consolidate what they have learned.
2.To learn about the expression of colours. Step 3 Work on Task 2 Learn about the expression of colours. 1.Look and say. Do you know the colours of these things e.g. —What colour is it —It's… 2.Finish 2a. Listen to the colour words and match them with the pictures. 3.Work on 2b. Look at the things and talk about what colours they are. Check like this: A: What colour is the cap B: It's     . A: What colour are the trousers B: They're     . 4.Finish 2c. Listen to the conversations and colour the things. 5.Finish 2d. Listen again and complete the sentences. ◎Key: blue; black and orange; red 6.Role-play the conversations and answer: What do they have What colour are they Observe whether students can accurately read and write the colours they hear. Find out how well students can pronounce and write colours.
Purpose To consolidate students' mastery of colours through reading and dictation and cultivate students' abilities to accurately obtain key information through listening to dialogues. After listening, students are guided to learn and internalize the key sentence patterns in the listening, so as to pave the way for further application of what they have learned in real-life situations.
3.To talk about stu-dents' belongings and the colours with “have”.  Step 4 Group work Sell goods through livestreaming. 1.Work on 2e. Talk about the new things you have. e.g.
A: I have       . B: What colour is it/are they A: It's/They're       . 2.Show time. 3.Summary. What do you have in your schoolbag What colour are they What can you do with them Do you love them They are colourful. They are useful. We love them all. Step 5 Exercise Focus on students' abilities to apply what they have learned to correctly introduce their personal belongings and their colours. Make self-assessment and peer-assessment in terms of language, pronunciation, performance and confi-dence. The teacher gives necessary guidance and feedback. 
Purpose To cultivate students' abilities to use their linguistic and cultural knowledge to solve practical problems in real situations, and promote transfer and innovation.
Homework: Required: Show the things in the schoolbag and introduce them and their colours in English. Optional: 1.Learn more about the things in study and life, and record their English names. 2.Learn more colour-related words and share them with group members.
