教学设计
一、教材分析
What:本课时的主要内容是学会使用字典。
Why: 通过本节课的学习，学生了解字典的用处和编排顺序，让字典成为学生英语学习的好帮
手。培养学生自主学习的意识。
How:活动1呈现了字典的两页内容，让学生自主发现字典的编排顺序，即按照字母表的顺序。活动2呈现了15个单词，让学生按照字母先后顺序排列。活动3呈现了10个单词，让学生以最快的速度在字典里查找这些单词。内容的编排遵从“发现——练习——应用”这一规律。
学情分析
七年级新生对查字典这个话题并不陌生，也能较快发现英语字典的编排顺序。但是在实践方面的经验不够，对于字典里所包含的其他内容也不熟悉，需要教师的指导。
教学目标
1、语言能力
能熟悉26字母顺序并将单词按照字母表顺序进行排序。
能找出字典编排的规则，并利用规则查找单词。
能了解字典中所包含的有关某个单词的具体信息：音标、词性、意思、例句等。
能初步尝试同伴合作，清楚地介绍如何使用字典。
2、学习能力
学会利用字典、网络、app等工具学习英语。
初步具有自主学习和合作学习的意识。
3、思维品质
能主动思考如何快速查字典，提出自己的观点。
文化意识
能了解英汉字典、英英字典的主要特征，并理解词典是英语学习的重要工具。
四、教学重难点
1、找出字典的编排规则并掌握查字典的方法。
2、同伴合作，介绍查字典的步骤。

Step1. Let’s sing. Sing two different versions of the alphabet songThink about these two questions:Which version do you like better What does “version”mean 通过复习课本上字母歌激活已知、预热课题；通过学唱另一个版本的字母歌激发兴趣，并引出生词“version”，继而引出话题：遇到生词查字典。该活动属于学习理解类活动中的感知与注意，起到了激活已知、建立新旧知识间的关联的作用。
Step2. Let’s talk. Have a talk about these two questions:If you don’t know a word, what should you do What kind of dictionary do you know 通过问题引导学生联系生活学习经验，了解英语字典的种类。
Step3Let’s read. Read the dictionary page. Circle the words in blue. What order are they in 通过观察字典页面的内容，主动发现字典中单词的编排顺序，呈现本节课的重点。
Step4Let’s practice. Number the following words in alphabetical order. 通过课内及时的练习巩固和应用所学内容，检测学生的学习效果，属于应用实践类活动。
