教学目标
1.语言知识目标：全体学生能理解：bag,that全体学生能运用单词：that及句子：This is a white cat .That is a black bird.语言技能目标：全体学生能听懂、会说并认读单词：bag, that 能用“This is a white cat. That is a black bird.”这样的句型介绍近处和远处的事物。3.学习策略：通过学习韵句进一步强化对英语的兴趣。乐于向他人介绍物品。4.文化意识：进一步了解英语的节奏。5.情感态度：乐于与他人分享信息。
教学重难点
教学重点：用“This is a white cat. That is a black bird.”这样的句型介绍近处和远处的事物。通过课文中和课堂创设的情境进一步感知英语的节奏。教学难点：1.初步感知“that”中“th”的读音。2.课文情境中Ms Smart 和 Amy 教两岁的Tom 识别事物，这里的“This is ...”介绍的是他人不认识的物品。
教学过程
一、导入与任务呈现（Warming up and Task presentation）T: Hello , boys and girls. Welcome to our English class. I’m your new English teacher. My name’s Angela. Nice to meet you . Today we’ll learn Module 5 unit2 That is a yellow bird.今天将学习第五模块第二单元。首先我们一起来看一下今天的学习目标。【设计意图：开门见山点明本节课的学习任务，使学生明确本节课的学习内容。】T: Before the lesson , let’s play a game. This is a turntable. Look carefully and tell me what is the arrow pointing at . You can use this is to describe the picture. Ready Go ! This is a red bird. This is a white dog. This is a blue car. This is a yellow bag.T:同学们 ,你们会说 “包” 这个单词吗？Please read after me “bag”. Please read after me “bag” . So the answer is “This is a yellow bag.” 【设计意图：运用已学颜色单词“red , white , blue, yellow”和句型“This is ...”创设游戏情境“大转盘”。知识上以旧带新，既复习了Module5 Unit1 的知识，同时引出本课的目标单词“bag” 。使学生在轻松愉悦的课堂氛围中提升学习英语的兴趣，消除其紧张感，有利形成师生共同亲近课堂的良好气氛。】韵句学习（Listen and chant）T: Listen ! What’s that music let’s watch the video. T: In the picture, we can see the bag , the cat and the desk far from us. So we should use “that” to describe them. 通过图片我们可以发现书包、小猫和桌子离我们很远，介绍远处的事物，我们要用“that” 。T：Please read after me“that” . “th” pronounces / / T: Let’s try. That is a desk. That is a bag. That is a cat. T: Let’s chant again. 【设计意图：通过多媒体课件，引导学生观察图片，体会距离远近，了解韵句中使用“that ”的原因。】三、课文学习（Text learning )T：Boys and girls . Look ! That is a park. Do you want to go there Ok ! Let’s go together. T:Wow , this is a beautiful park. Ms Smart, Amy and Tom are in the park ,too .在公园,她们看到了什么？ Let’s listen , point and say . T: That’s right . They saw a cat and some birds. What colour is the cat -It’s yellow. What colour is the bird It’s yellow / black / blue. Good !You’ve got it.T: Tom只有两岁，它还分不清哪些是猫，哪些是狗，哪些是小鸟，所以妈妈和姐姐在教他，她们是如何向Tom 介绍的？ Let’s listen , point and imitate .请同学们听录音，跟读模仿课文。T：Look at the picture. The blue bird is close to Tom. They can touch it . 蓝色的小鸟离Tom 很近，伸手就可以摸到它。所以，Amy 在教Tom 的时候说：“This is a blue bird. ”T: The black bird is far from Tom.黑色的小鸟离Tom 距离很远，介绍远距离的事物，要用“that” ，That is a black bird. 【设计意图：二年级的学生善于模仿。动态且色彩丰富的卡通图像，时时给他们新鲜感，牢牢锁住他们的注意力。通过创设真实语语境，利用问答、模仿跟读、图片对比等课堂活动，为学生提供更多运用新授语言材料的机会，效果良好。】四、巩固练习（Consolidation)1. Look and say T：Let’s do some practice.First let’s look and say. 我们一起来做一些练习吧。首先我们看图说句子。 In picture1 The girl and the panda are close , so we should say This is a panda. In picture2 The girl is far from the panda , so we should say That is a panda. T: How about this group Yes ! This is a desk . That is a desk. T: Now listen to the beat and chant with me .【设计意图：伴随着节奏的起伏，用说唱的形式把本课的重点句型复现，既可以帮助学生辨别区分“距离远近”，又可以使学生进一步感知英语的节奏。】2.Look and say more T: That comes another practice.这一次请试着把颜色也描述出来吧！This is a yellow chair. That is a pink chair. This is a red bird. That is a black and yellow bird. 【设计意图：发展学生练习目标语句的广度—— 从介绍近处和远处的事物——介绍近处和远处的事物及其颜色。以维果斯基的“最近发展区”理论为依托，尊重学生的个体差异，通过适宜的阶梯式练习，使学生能积极有效将本课知识迁移到实际英语表达中。】五、二次韵句学习 （Listen and say. Then chant）T: You can do it pretty good. I have 2 friends.One is a yellow cat. The other is orange. The yellow cat has a new hat. Follow me hat hat hat . He loves his hat , so he chants I’m a cat , cat , cat in a hat, hat , hat.T: The orange cat has a new cap. Follow me cap cap cap . He loves his cap ,too . So he chants I’m a cat , cat , cat in a cap, cap , cap.T: Children , do you love it Let’s chant together. 【设计意图：通过TPR教学活动迅速吸引学生的注意力，使其快速参加学习活动，让学生在身临其境的实际体验中学习英语。通过肢体活动配合句型的操练，重在帮助学生理解英语，乐于用英语表达，符合二年级小学生的年龄特点和身心特征。】六、任务完成 (Task completion)T: At last let’s share our favorite things 最后让我们一起来介绍自己喜欢物品及它们的颜色吧！T: First you can say hello to everyone , and introduce yourself .Then you can use “This is ...”and “That is... ”to introduce your favorite things. Here we go ! 【设计意图：此活动的设计旨在让学生通过本课句型的学习，学会用英语做事情。通过分享自己的照片，让学生体会到了学了会说，学了会用的成功的体验。】七、小结与作业（Summary and Homework）T:Congratulations ! You got all the challenge. Let’s see what we learnt today . 我们一起来看一下今天学习了哪些知识吧。You can read loudly with me .T: Homework for today . You can finish the homework at your best.基础作业：向家人展示所学韵句。向家人展示模仿跟读课文录音。拓展作业:继续在小组内展示自己带来的图片，并向同伴介绍。实践作业:拿着自己教室的照片，回家后向家人介绍。T: So much for this lesson . Goodbye !
