教学过程
Lead-in 1).The students watch a video about an invitation and answer the question: Q: What does the monitor want us to do 2).Know about the learning objectives. Step 1 Reading for the structure and elements 1).The students skim the invitation in 3a and answer the questions. 2).Analyze the structure of the invitation. 3).Summarize the contents of the body part. Step 2 Reading for the languages 1).The students brainstorm different sentence patterns to express “Purpose” and discuss in groups to learn to express “Time & Place, Activity, Advice & Reply ”etc. 2).Make a summary. Step 3 Writing an invitation 1.The students write an invitation for a thank-you party by using the target language in this period. 2.The students score themselves and each other according to the checklist. Step 4 Knowing how to reply 1.The students recall their feelings when receiving an invitation. 2.Watch a video and know how to reply to an invitation. Step 5 Homework A: Polish your invitation. B: Reply to Ms.Yin’s invitation. C: Design an e-invitation and send it to the person you want to invite.
