In my view, the most likely prediction about future
life is “robot-supported” . Many people already have robots cleaning their homes at present. A recent report says in the next 50 years, every family will have some sort of a robot servant. So, I believe more robots will be invented to help us in many other aspects in the near future.
As far as I’m concerned, the most desirable
prediction is “energy-saving” . As we all know, the natural resources on our planet are limited, so I really want to live in a solar-powered sweet dome which needs only a tiny amount of energy to heat and generate power.

will be very safe and
environmentally-friendly. Special construction
material will be used to prevent flood, fire,
radiation and earthquake. What’s more, there
won’tbe any
formaldehyde (甲醛).
So people can move into their homes as soon as
they are decorated.
Hopefully, every student will have a robot tutor which will help with their studies. The robot tutor will be able to assess the student’s learning level and ability accurately and motivate the student to improve learning efficiency.
It is very likely that people won’t have to take the driving test any more. They will travel in driverless cars and all the cars will be interconnected by 10G Internet and there won’t be any traffic jams.
Assignment
Choose one aspect of future life and write your own
prediction in at least 80 words.
Please share your prediction about future life with
your partner and comment on his or her prediction.

息,概括未来生活的特征,能分析、评价这些预测,并提出自己的预测。首先,教师带领 学生回顾本单元各语篇对未来生活预测的相关信息,然后引导学生以关键词的形式概括这 些预测的特点。随后,教师提问学生,在这些预测当中,最有可能发生的和最渴望的分别 是哪个,并说明原因,旨在培养学生分析、评价观点的能力。最后,教师鼓励学生发挥想 象,说说自己对未来的预测,让学生在这个过程中学会提出自己的观点,并加以解释说
明。
作业要求:对未来生活的某一方面进行预测,并写成 80 字的短文。
3. 重点难点
运用恰当的语言进行预测,并给出合理的原因。
