Period 2 Section B What is fun on a farm?
一、教材分析
What: 本课时语篇主要围绕Han Lin叔叔的农场进行读写任务的练习。在语篇中主要描写了农场的大小,草地,动物种类,数量,位置及叔叔的房子等信息也表达了自己对农场的喜爱之情。
Why: 通过 Han Lin对其叔叔农场的描述,介绍了描述农场等某一自然环境时文章的整体结构,语言表达,情感与态度等特点。并传递了欣赏自然、敬畏自然,人与自然和谐共生的意义。
How: 本课时先通过一个图片介绍农场出现的动植物,在短文语篇中通过Look! This is...引入说明文开头的经典句型。通过“You can see many kinds of animals.”引出具体要介绍的动物种类;通过“How many ducks does my uncle have?”和“Let me count.”引入动物的数量;通过介绍一只鸭子的具体位置复习位置的表达方式。通过“Do you see that house?”引出对叔叔房子的描述,最后表达自己的喜爱之情。本篇文章除了上述衔接语言的使用,还复习有关物体描述的形容词,如big, so green, beautiful等语言。
二、教学内容
1. 本课时的重点单词,短语和句子。
2. 说明文的结构,语言特征。
3. 写一篇描述农场的短文。
三、教学目标
1. 掌握以下重点单词及短语:
count、another、else、circle、look at
2. 掌握下列句型:
This is... It’s a big farm. You can see... Look at... How many...do you see/have?Do you see...?Do you like...?
3. 能够在老师的引导下写一篇有关农场描述的文章。
4.通过对农场和小院的了解,明白不同生态环境的差异,促进信息的共享与交流,同时学会爱会自然,爱护环境。
四、教学重难点
重点:通过读、看、模仿等活动,感知、获取并梳理描述农场的常用表达尤其是一些衔接语句的输入。
难点:能够描述农场信息,并进行有效的语言输出。
五、教学准备
视频,多媒体课件等。
六、教学过程
Step 1 Lead-in.
Let students listen to the sounds of all kinds animals and speak out them in English as quickly as they can.
【设计意图】通过猜测动物的声音,导入话题,引出学生兴趣,并复习有关动物的用法。
Step 2 Presentation.
1. Learn the new words: count、another、else、circle、look at
2. Practice the new words and read them out loud in class.
Step 3 Pre-reading
1. Work on 1a.
(1)Brainstorm. Let students think about what kinds of animals they may see on the farm.
(2)Look at the picture in 1a and find out the animals and the number of them in the picture
(3)Thick the things in the picture in 1a.
【设计意图】引导学生通过观察图片,预测对话内容。
Step 4 While-reading
1. Work on 1b
Let students read the text and circle the things appeared in the picture in 1a.
2. Work on 1c
Read the text in 1b again and complete the sentences.
Check the answers: 1. pigs, horses, cows, ducks, sheep; chickens 2. fifteen 3. red
3. Work on 1d
Let students finish the questions in 1c in groups and let students share their answers in class.
【设计意图】通过阅读练习训练学生抓取关键信息的能力,提升学生的阅读技巧。
Step 4 Post-reading
1. Find out the structure of the text.
2. Get students to read text again and think about the following questions.
(1)How does Han Lin start the text?
(2)Which words can we use to describe the farm?
(3)How to ask the number of things?
(4)How does the writer end the text?
(5)Which sentences are used to connect the text?
3. Conclude the useful expressions in 1b.
Beginning: Look! This is... It’s a big farm.
Body: You can see... He has... How many ducks does my uncle have?Do you see... That’s...
End: It’s beautiful. Do you like it?
4. Work on 1e.
(1)Read the given part of the text in 1e and think about what else you can say about a farm and add more useful sentences.
(2)Write about the farm in 1a and share in class

Step 5 Homework
1. 背记本节课新词汇并背诵1b。

Period 3 Section B Project
一、教材分析
What: 本课时的主要内容设计自己的农场。
Why: 通过学生设计并绘制图画,发挥学生的创造力,培养学生的想象力及解决问题的能力也帮助学生更多了解农场动物及其特点并欣赏自然美景。
How: 首先通过三个主题问题引导学生思考并复习设计农场的要素,再通过动手画出农场操练学生的审美能力和实际动手操作能力,最后通过描述农场锻炼学生的语言输出能力。
二、教学内容
1. 复习有关描述农场的单词及句型并可扩充衔接语句使文章表达更流畅。
2. 能够用正确表述农场内动植物的特点,数量,颜色并表达喜爱之情。
三、教学目标
1. 熟练掌握描述农场的单词及句型。
2. 提高学生的动手能力。
3.培养学生了解农场,热爱自然的意识。
四、教学重难点
重点:通过回顾梳理整合本单元所学的重要语言表达。
难点:学会有条理的整理教室等房间。

多媒体,PPT等
六、教学过程
Step 1 Competition and review.
Play a game—What’s on the farm?Everyone says the sentence What’s on the farm?and students answer one things on the farm one by one. The students that can’t answer get their punishment—read out the sentences three times loud.
【设计意图】通过游戏的方式,既能引起学生的上课兴趣还能复习本课时的重点单词。
Step 2 Presentation
1. Work on 2a.
(1)Ask students to describe their dream farms in pairs according to the given questions in 2a and allow them to add more details.
(2)Choose three or four students to come to the front of the classroom, and share their dream farms.
2. Work on 2b
Ask students to draw pictures of their own farms.
3. Work on 2c
1. Let students to write a short passage to about their own farms in English with about 8 sentences.
2. Ask students to choose one as the best designer and introduce their pictures in class in English.
【设计意图】通过画图并介绍梦想中的农场,学生能对目标语言进行充分地练习通过介绍自己的农场也能锻炼学生的口语表达能力。
Step 3 Judge and improve.
1. According to students’ introduction to their farms, let students summarize the good words, phrases and sentence patterns that they can use in their essays.
2. Ask the students to improve their works.
【设计意图】通过优秀作品的互相学习,既能建立学生的自信,也有助于同学充分掌握本节课的重难点。
Step 4 Homework
1. Polish their pictures and essays.
2. Do the exercises in students’ workbooks.
