Period 3 Section A Grammar Focus
一、教材分析
What: 时态内容主要介绍含有be动词的一般现在时；语篇为Liu Yu介绍自己和新同学。
Why: 学生需学会正确的使用be动词，能够在一个新环境中正确地向他人介绍自己及自己的新同学，并介绍中国文化，树立文化自信。
How: 第一部分通过分析总结所给例句，找到对应的人称代词所应搭配使用的be动词；第二部分通过习题练习进一步使学生熟练除人称代词外其他名词做主语时be动词的使用规则；第三部分通过篇章练习be动词的用法，介绍了姓名，年龄，国家地区，最喜欢的动物和最喜欢的中国食物等基本信息。在介绍自己和他人是都融入了中国元素包括中国的象征之一—大熊猫以及成都及川菜。引导学生传播中国文化，树立文化自信；最后一部分通过介绍形容词性物主代词的使用来引入如何介绍他人。
二、教学内容
be动词的使用规则及其与人称代词的匹配；人称代词主格与形容词性物主代词。
三、教学目标
1. 掌握以下重点单词及短语：
same，both，band，pot，tofu，twin，a lot
2. 掌握下列句型：
I’m...years old. This is... His/Her name is... He’s/She’s from... His/Her favourite...is...
3. 学生能够正确使用代词和be动词进行自我介绍和描述他人。
4.通过介绍自己和他人，使自己快速融入新集体，同时学会介绍中国文化，构建文化自信。
四、教学重难点
重点：正确使用 be动词(am,is,are)与人称代词搭配。
难点：学生能够区分使用 am、is与 are 的情境。
在对话中正确使用物主代词和形容词性物主代词
五、教学准备
图片，音乐，多媒体等。
六、教学过程
Step 1 Lead in
Let students watch the video 《be动词之歌》and sing along with the music.
【设计意图】通过朗朗上口的歌曲，促进同学们的学习积极性，同时以歌谣的形式使学生对be动词的使用规则有初步的了解。
Step 2 Presentation
1. Work on 3a
Let students look through the sentences in 3a, circle the verbs, discuss in groups and try to find out the rules to write down the right be verbs of the pronoun in 3a.
2. With the help of the teacher, students made up the rhyme about the usage of be verbs.
我（I）用am，你用（are）；
is跟着他（he）、她（she）、它（it）；
单数用is，复数用are；
we are, they are 不分家。
3. Present some sentences including be verbs and let students find out the mistakes and correct them.
【设计意图】观察、总结be动词使用口诀，以学生为学习问题解决的主体，推动主动学习与深度思考。
Step 3 Knowledge time
1. Look through the sentences in the form in 3a and conclude the different sentence patterns about be verbs.
句式 结构
肯定句 主语+am/is/are+其他.
否定句 主语+am/is/are not+其他.
一般疑问句及回答 Am/Is/Are+主语+其他？肯定回答：Yes, 主语+is/am/are.否定回答：No, 主语+am not/isn’t/aren’t.
特殊疑问句 疑问词+am/is/are+（+主语）+其他？
2. Pay attention to the abbreviation of be verbs and let students find out the abbreviation of be verbs as many as possible. Show Students’ answers in class and point out which are right and which are wrong.
I am=I’m you are=you’re he is=he’s she is=she’s who is=who’s...
Step 4 Practicing
1. Work on 3b. Let students finish 3b in two minutes.
Check the answers: 1. is; are 2. am; is 3. is 4. are 5. are
2. Work on 3c. Complete the passage with am, is or are.
Check the answers: 1. am 2. am 3. am 4. is 5. is 6. is 7. is 8. are
3. Conclude the pronoun in 3a and add more.
I ……my she……her he……his you……your ...
4. Let students conclude the useful sentence pattern and fill in the table.
自我介绍 介绍姓名：I’m.../My name is...介绍年龄：I’m...years old.介绍住址：I’m from.../I live in...wit...介绍喜好：My favourite...is.../I like...
介绍他人 引入介绍：This is my...介绍姓名：Her/His name is.../She/He is...介绍年龄：She/He is...介绍住址：She/He is from.../ She/He lives in...with...介绍喜好：Her/His favourite...is.../She/He likes...a lot.
总结 We are good friends/classmates/...
【设计意图】通过层层递进的练习，帮助学生巩固和内化be动词（主谓一致）原则，并通过总结3c中出现的句式，为接下来的自我介绍和介绍新朋友做好充分的准备。
Step 5 imitative writing
1. Work on 3d. Let students write a short essay to introduce the information about yourself and the new friends you know: name、age、place of birth、place of residence、the favourite food and so on according to the tips in 3d and the above knowledge.
2. Let students change, read and correct others’ essay.
3. Choose some good essays to show in class.
【设计意图】通过短文仿写介绍自己和新朋友，将语法知识的学习融汇与真实的交际情境之中，促进学生的学以致用。同时，通过介绍自己和新朋友，进一步感知与新朋友的友谊，促进个人人际关系的友好发展。
Step 6 Homework
1. 根据课堂师生的互评，修订自己的短文，并将其贴在班级的分享天地。
2. 完成教师提供的课后练习题：将含有be动词的陈述句转化为一般疑问句和特殊疑问句。
