Activity1: Warm up& Lead in Hello, boys and girls! Welcome to our English class. Today we’re going to learn Module 8 Unit 2 It’s in the north of China. First, let’s see our learning objectives. Read and understand these new words “map,beast”. Read and understand the text of M8U2. Learn to use “It’s in the north/south/east/west of ...” to describe locations. Let’s get started. Teacher prepares an interesting riddle for you. Let’s have a look: I'm a piece of paper with paths and places, Helping you find your way in new spaces. What am I Ss: A map. Yes, you are so smart. Map has no mouth, but it can tell us directions. Now that you know the direction words, let’s sing a song about directions. It’s in the west of China. It's famous for its beautiful mountain landscapes, including the Himalayas and the Potala Palace. 4. Guangzhou: -Guangzhou is a big city. It’s in the south of China. It's famous for its modern skyscrapers, markets and cuisine. Step2: Language points Capital Washington is the capital of the United States and it is in the east of the country.
