Step 1 Warm up Teacher greets the whole class as usual. Activate students and remind them to concentrate.
Step 2 Preview check Teacher asks students the topics they have learned in this unit. And write down as many words and phrases as they have learned from this unit. Students answer the questions loudly together then write down the words and phrases. Check the teaching situation of previous lessons quickly. Help students consolidate the knowledge points.
Step 3 Lead in Are you familiar with these emojis Do you still remember how to describe them by using adjectives Students describe the emojis by using adjectives they learned before. Use emojis to catch students’ attention. Spark their interest and let them review the words they have learned.
Step 4 Revision Review the adjectives learnt before. Activity 1 Match the pictures with the best adjectives. Then describe each picture in two or three sentences. keys: awkward anxious excited curious annoyed frightened Confident keys: Two women are talking. One woman asks a question, while the other looks awkward and doesn't know how to answer the question, maybe because of a cultural gap between them. A girl is doing a chemistry experiment by following directions in a book. She is holding a beaker and a test tube full of liquid. She looks very nervous. A young woman is greeting a young man. She seems very happy to see him. He also looks happy. A boy is looking at something through a microscope and smiling. His friend is leaning over and wants to know what he sees. A young man is trying hard to study, but his little sister is playfully disturbing him with her toys A man is in water waving his hands in the air and yelling in panic. He looks like he might be drowning. A girl is getting ready to take an examination. She looks well prepared. The two people behind her look very anxious. Read the adjectives and answer the questions. Step 5 Revision Review the verbs and phrases learnt before. Activity 2 Match the verbs on the left with the nouns on the right. Then make sentences with your new phrases. EXAMPLE Good morning.
