教学过程
Review and learn：complete sentences about 2d, circle the modal verbs. Match and identify different uses of the modal verbs. Underline inferences in Grammar focus and identify facts for making inferences. Choose modal verbs to complete the inferences and underline text prompts. Make reasonable inferences and give responses in the dialogue. Look and say: make inferences based on the picture of Morgan’s room. Make inferences about the gender of Morgan based on the details of Morgan’s room. Think and write: Suppose it’s 10 minutes since your English class began, but your teacher hasn’t appeared and the monitor couldn’t find her in the office. You and your classmates are discussing where she could be. Summary Modal verbs can be used to make inferences: “Might/could” are used to show something is possibly true. “Must” is used to show something is probably true. “Can’t” is used to show something is almost not true. Make reasonable inferences based on picture or text prompts. Homework Make inferences and fill in the chart.
