教学目标
After this class, students will be able to 1.get the sentence patterns of giving advice in Unit10 and some Chinese customs by doing self check exercise or by reading pictures; （学习理解） 2. get the structure and skills for writing a letter by reading a passage;（学习理解&应用实践） 3. write a letter to introduce Chinese customs to a foreign boy, helping him behave properly in China .（迁移创新）
教学重难点
教学重点： 1.Get the ideas of some Chinese customs such as table manners, greeting customs,house rules, going out with friends, and sentence patterns of giving advice in Unit 10. 2. Get the structure and skills for writing a letter by reading a passage. 教学难点： Be able to write a letter about Chinese customs to help the foreigner behave properly in China .
教学过程
教学目标 （Objectives）学习活动 （Activities） 学习活动层 次(Level of activities)1.Help the students get the sentence patterns of giving advice in Unit10 and some Chinese customs by doing self check exercise or by reading pictures; （学习理解)Lead-in : 1. Enjoy a video about some foreign students coming to China for traveling and study. 2. Read an e-mail message,lead in today’s writing task. Activity 1: Review for ideas and sentence patterns. To finish self check 2,and review the table manners in China, and sentence patterns of giving advice. Activity 2: Get ideas from pictures. 1.To read the pictures about greeting customs in China and speak out the ideas by using the sentence patterns. 2.To read the pictures about house rules in China and speak out the ideas by using the sentence patterns. 3.To read the pictures about going out with friends in China and write down the ideas by using the sentence patterns. 感知注意 获取与梳理 获取与梳理 分析与判断 设计意图：本阶段的活动旨在创设情境，引导学生快速了解并投入到本节课的写作要求，并通过完成课本self check内容和读图，迅速获取写作表达所需的句型以及所要表达的内容。2.Help the students get the structure and skills for writing a letter by reading a passage.（学习理解&应用实践）Activity 3: Read for structure and skills. 1.To read a passage (letter) about French customs which Lin Yue wrote to Kate. 2. To get the structure of the passage. 3.To learn 3 skills to write a passage（letter）better. Q1 : How did Lin Yue develop the beginning of her letter Q2: How did Lin Yue make her letter smooth Q3: How did Lin Yue enrich her letter Q4: How did Lin Yue end her letter 分析与判断 内化与应用 设计意图：本阶段的活动旨在“以读促写”，通过阅读一篇介绍法国风俗的信件，获取写信所需要的文章结构，以及写好文章所需要的3个skills。
3.Write a letter to introduce Chinese customs to a foreign boy, helping him behave properly in China .(迁移创新）Activity 4: Write a letter back to Jack. 1.Students write a letter according to the outline and the checklist. 2.To show one sample to students for analyzing. 3.To send the letter to Jack. 想象与创造 批评与评价设计意图：本阶段的活动是和学生分享一篇学生所写的文章，与学生一起分析文章是否符合checklist的要求，然后确定本信件是否发送给Jack, 是本节课的输出部分。Homework: Must do : Complete or polish your writing and some beautiful letters will be chosen to send to Jack. Choose to do : Make a short video about introducing our Chinese cultures and customs to the world.
