Purpose of designing:Arouse students’ interest in sharing memories of the past three years. 2)Ask students how they have changed since junior high school. Purpose of designing:Review the expressions of talking about changes. Step 2 Lead in Show a picture of their classmate and introduce his hopes(get a business and become a manager) Purpose of designing:Teach new words for the next step. Watch a video about future dreams. Purpose of designing:To get Ss think about their dream jobs. Step 3 Pre-listening (1a&1b) Lead Ss to write down their hopes and share their hopes; Get students to talk about their future plans in different ways. Purpose of designing:Enable Ss to talk about hopes and prepare for the listening part. Step 4 While-listening (1c&1d) First,have Ss check and match the hopes they hear,then listen again and fill in the blanks. Purpose of designing:Train Ss’ listening skills and transfer the information they get. Step 5 Post-listening Have Ss retell the conversation according to the pictures. Purpose of designing:To practice Ss speaking skills. Step 6 1e ( make a speech) 1) Help Ss to design their speech.Then prepare a speech. 2) Have Ss present their speech in front of the classmates.
