Step 1 Lead-in Students look at a picture and answer questions about the setting, actions, and feelings of the individuals depicted. Step 2 Watch a Video Students watch a video about the first day of school traditions in different countries and match sentences to those countries. Step 3 Group Discussion Students discuss their own first day of school experiences and share activities they did, such as visiting the school, getting books, and cleaning the classroom. Check for students' ability to describe settings, actions, and emotions using appro-priate language. Assess students' compre-hension by checking the accuracy of their matches and their understanding of the vocabulary introduced. Evaluate the depth of students' participation in the discussion and their ability to communicate effectively with peers.
Purpose To activate students' background knowledge and prepare them for the topic of school traditions and junior high life. To introduce the concept of cultural diversity in school traditions and engage students in active learning. To encourage students to share personal experiences and reflect on common first day activities across cultures.
2.To explore the life in junior high from lessons, plans and activities. 3.To discuss and make a report on junior high life in groups. Step 5 Group Work and Presentation Students work in groups to discuss and make a report on junior high life, completing a table with what they know, what they want to know, and how they can find more information. Evaluate the content of the group's report for complete-ness and relevance, as well as their language use, pro-nunciation,and presentation skills. 
Purpose To develop students' collaborative skills, research abilities, and public speaking through group discussions and presentations.
4.To have a positive attitude towards junior high life and be confident. Step 6 Self-assessment 1.Review what students have learned in this class and draw conclusions: Life in junior high school is brilliant. Let's be confident and enjoy it! 2.Exercise. Assess students' under-standing of the summary and their ability to reflect on the lesson's content with a positive attitude.
Purpose By reviewing what they have learned, students are inspired to approach junior high with a positive and confident mindset.
Homework Talk with your family about their junior high school life and study, feel the changes of the times, and cherish junior high school life.
