教学目标
1. master the following new words and phrases : 11 words: achievement, southwestern, thick, include, freezing, condition, succeed, challenge, achieve, force, nature 3 phrases: take in, in the face of, even thought 2. acquire information about facts & dangers of Qomolangma and climbers achievements ; 3. develop and share deep understanding of the relationship between human and nature ; 4. fill up the Application Form of Qomolangma Base Camp .
教学重难点
教学重点： Strengthen the reading skills by skimming and scanning, and get the general idea of the article. Master the key words and sentence patterns. Learn about Mount Qomolangma, understand the important events in human history, and learn the spiritual quality of climbers. 教学难点： Guide the students to observe: What does the author want to convey through the topic (Pay attention to the punctuation. in the title) 2. Guide students to think：People can conquer the nature There’s no mountain higher than people 3. Guide the students to find: Mount Qomolangma in their own life. Life is like climbing a mountain, we should establish perseverance, challenge themselves, dare to climb the spiritual quality. Firmly overcome the belief of self, climb belongs to everyone's own Mount Qomolangma.

Step 1 Warming-up Review:Teacher shows a picture and ask “What’s the highest mountain in the world ” 回顾上节课内容，并回答问题。 通过回顾，引入本节课的主题。
Step 2 Lead- in 1.Teacher invites an AI assistance to introduce Qomolangma Base Camp. 2.Teacher introduces taday’s learning task - to unlock “3F”contents to fill up the base camp application form. 观看珠峰大本营介绍视频，了解本节课学习任务。 通过视频对珠峰大本营和“珠峰大本营研学活动”的介绍，激起学生的学习兴趣。
Step 3 Pre-reading Prediction: Look at the title and the picture and guess what the passage is going to talk about 预测3a文章内容。在学习任务单中选择相应的选项。 通过读标题和课文插图预测全文大意，激发学生的阅读兴趣。

Step 5 Post-reading Teacher asks students to memorize the “3F”contents within 3 minutes and retell the “3F”contents. 记忆文章“3F”具体内容，并复述。 通过限时记忆“3F”内容和复述文章，使学生加深理解并内化文章。
Step 6 Activities Teacher makes students to discuss in a group and complete the application form. 四人小组讨论并完成珠峰大本营申请表填写。 鼓励学生在学习文章之后通过小组讨论，完成珠峰大本营的申请表填写，学以致用。
Step 7 Summary Teacher summarizes the key content in this lesson. 跟随老师一起进行内容总结。 总结本课所学内容，利用思维导图给学生进行有序的梳理。
Step 8 Further thinking Teacher guides students to think about the relationship between human beings and the nature. 深入思考人与自然的关系。 引导并鼓励学生深入思考人与自热的关系，形成人与自然和谐共生的认识。
