Lead-in(2 mins) Step 1: Ask the students to do a brainstorm about their favourite books and watch a video clip of students’ interview. T: 1. What is your favourite book 2. Why do you like it S1: I like Harry Potter series best… S2: My favorite book is Journey to the West… S3: My favorite book is Romeo and Juliet…I am deeply moved by Romeo and Juliet’s tragic love. T: My favourite book is The Adventures of Tom Sawyer written by Mark Twain. Step 2: Watch a cartoon clip of The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, and check the students’ first impression of the boy Tom Sawyer. T: Tom is a lively and clever boy. Do you want to find out more stories about Tom 设计意图: 通过头脑风暴,引导学生思考自己最喜欢的一本书籍,并激发学生向他人介绍这本书的欲望。唤醒学生的主题背景知识、培养学生发散思维。 借助卡通视频,引出本节课主题《汤姆·索耶历险记》,激发学生继续探索本书内容的求知欲,逐渐帮助学生熟悉语篇话题,激活话题词汇语义网。 II.Fast reading (3 mins) Step 3:① Predict the text type of the passage from the title.
