The teacher will try to use them make examples and reuse them for some times, even put them into activities and homework as much as possible.

Time Stage& Interaction Stage Aims &Process, Activity Materials 5 minsPre-listening T-SAim: To warm students up and try to get them engaged in the new lesson. Greet students T will let ss think if they have any problems in their daily life. And T will encourage ss to think about some exact problems by the seven letters of P_R_O_B_L_E_M. T will ask ss to think about the father’s advice for four problems, which lead to the main situation of the class, an argument between Tony and his father.
Lesson Plan Time Stage & Interaction Stage Aims &Process, Activity Materials 5-8 minsWhile-Listening IAim: To learn part of the new expressions, and lead in the topic of today, problem between parents and the children. T will ask ss to listen carefully about a short conversation between Tony’ parents on Tony’s playing-the- guitar thing. (Students will be asked not only for judging the T/F statements, but also for the details for their listening comprehension.)15 minsWhile-Listening IIAim: To introduce target language and practice listening skills 1 Listen for the gist (2 multiple choice questions for the gist) T will introduce the new word, community, in terms of pronunciation, function and usage in different sentences.) 2 Listen for details (task-based listening) T will show two similar questions from two different aspects of Tony and his father. Then ss need to listen carefully again for both of the father and son’s stands. 3 Listen for details (fill in the blanks) T will list out some sentences with several blanks. Ss need to predict the words, then listen and fill. At the same time, the specific details including the original sentences in conversation should be shown.7-10 minsPost-listeningDiscussion Ss will be asked to work in pairs and discuss if Tony and his father were talking in the best way Why or why not Then ss discuss with their partners, share their opinions about three situations. Summary Ss will summarize the conversation (includes the key expressions and words) together, and enhance their knowledge of this class. Post-thinking T will show the seven problems ss listed out at the beginning of the class. Then, as a teacher, an adult, we need to get ss to know that problems occur often. We need to stop complaining about them, try to solve them munication matters! T will share an idiom with ss ‘Communication works for those who work at it.’to end up this class. Homework Two extra listening tasks about problems on friendship and a misunderstanding Try to redesign a new conversation between Tony and his dad about his change and his own idea.(If you were Tony, what would you say to your father Will you make a change )
