The traditional Chinese festival I like best
There are many traditional festivals in China. Among them, I like the Mid-autumn best. The Mid-autumn has a history of hundreds of years.
The festival is a time for family members to get together. Everyone returns home to have a big dinner no matter how far they are from their homes. A popular activity during the festival is to admire the beauty of the full moon at night. And the best part of the festival is to share the delicious mooncakes. Mooncakes are in the shape of a full moon with different tastes. Some are sweet while some are salty. They are round and they carry people’s wishes to the families they love and miss. Also, it provides people with a chance to spend time with family. Kids are interested in the story of Chang’e.
It is my favorite festival because not only does it remind me of the warmth and happiness of reunion, but I also have a better understanding of the traditional Chinese culture.
