作及物动词，意为“买；购买”，
常与介词for连用，即buy sth. for sb. ＝buy sb. sth.，意为“给某人买某物”，
buy sth. from...意为“从……买某物”。
eg：My mother buys me a nice schoolbag.
＝My mother buys a nice schoolbag for me.
我妈妈给我买了一个漂亮的书包。
【拓展】buy的反义词是sell(卖)，常用短语：sell sth. to sb. ＝sell sb. sth. 意为“将某物卖给某人”。
eg：He sells his car to me.＝He sells me his car.
他把他的汽车卖给了我。
1. buy的用法
Language points
something是复合不定代词，意为“某事；某物”，
常用于肯定句中，也可用于征求对方意见或期望得到肯定回答的疑问句中。
当形容词或动词不定式修饰something时，修饰词要后置。
eg：I want to do something different. 我想做不同的事情。
Would you like something to eat？ 你想要些吃的东西吗？
【注意】something作主语时，谓语动词用单数。
eg：There is something interesting in the newspaper.
报纸上有一些有趣的东西。
2. something的用法

woman作可数名词,意为“女人”,其复数形式为women。
eg：She is a smart woman. 她是一个聪明的女人。
【拓展】
woman和man作定语修饰可数名词复数时，也要用复数形式。
eg：five women teachers五位女教师；
three men drivers三名男司机

这是向别人提供帮助的常用句型，广泛应用于商店、旅馆、饭店等服务型行业。
类似用法的句型还有:
What can I do for you？ May I help you？
Is there anything I can do for you？ Could I help you？ ... ...
顾客如有需要，可回答“Yes，please.”，然后说出自己的要求。如不需要，则常回答“No，thanks.”。
4. Can I help you？的用法
how much意为“多少钱”，以其开头的特殊疑问句可用来询问物品的价格。
常用结构为“How much＋is/are＋主语？”
回答时可用“It's / They're＋钱数．”。
询问价格还可用“What is the price of...？”
【注意】无论被询问的物品是不可数名词、可数名词单数还是可数名词复数，be动词都用is，不能用are。
其答语为“It's＋价格．”，意为“价格是……”。
eg：—How much is the desk ＝ —What is the price of the desk？ 这张桌子多少钱？
—It's 130 yuan. ＝ —It's 130 yuan. 130元。
—How much are these books？＝—What is the price of these books 这些书多少钱？
—They are 20 yuan. ＝ —It's 20 yuan. 20元。
5. how much的用法

【拓展】how much也可用来询问不可数名词的数量，意为“多少”。
how many用来询问可数名词数量，其后接复数名词。
eg：How much yogurt do you need 你需要多少酸奶？
How many classes do you have every day？你每天有多少节课？

【拓展】1.英美等西方国家的货币单位像dollar（美元）、cent （美分）、pound（英镑）、penny（便士）、shilling（先令）等有单复数变化。
2.我国的货币单位元（yuan）、角（jiao）、分（fen）单复数一样。
3. 表示货币等度量衡单位的词在作主语时，谓语动词用单数形式。
eg: 100 dollars is quite a lot of money for him.
100美元对他来说是相当多的钱。
