注意：序数词的简写形式由阿拉伯数字加上序数词的最后两个字母构成。
【记忆口诀】
基变序有规律，多数词尾加-th。
一二三特殊记，词尾字母t, d, d。
八去t，九去e, 字母f把ve替，
然后再加-th。遇到几十几，
只变个位就可以。
序数词表顺序，

(1)happy是形容词，意为“愉快的；高兴的”，可以作定语或表语。
eg：He will be happy to see you. 他看见你会很高兴的。
We all have a happy life. 我们都有一个幸福的生活。
(2)Happy birthday! 是日常交际用语，用来表达对某人生日的美好祝福。其后还可以用to引出祝福的对象。其答语为“Thank you (very much).”或“Thanks.”。
eg：—Happy birthday (to you), Tom! 汤姆，(祝你)生日快乐！
—Thanks./Thank you. 谢谢。
【拓展】happy还可与表示节日的名词连用，用来向他人表达节日的祝愿。回答时，除了表达谢意外，也可以用“The same to you.”来向对方表示相同的祝愿。
eg：—Happy New Year! 新年快乐！
—Thanks.谢谢。/The same to you.你也一样。

(1)作名词,意为“惊奇;惊讶”,既可作可数名词,又可作不可数名词。
get a surprise意为“吃惊” in surprise意为“惊讶地”
to one's surprise意为“使某人惊讶的是”。
eg：He looks at her in surprise. 他惊讶地看着她。
To his surprise，the lost watch is in his drawer.
令他吃惊的是，丢失的手表在他的抽屉里。
(2)作动词，意为“使感到意外”。
eg：The news surprises me a lot. 这个消息让我很惊讶。
