Pronunciation
一、板块定位
本单元话题为“兴趣爱好”，属于“人与自我”主题范畴下的“生活与学习” 主
题群中“丰富、充实、积极向上的生活”子主题。涉及的语篇类型有图片、对话、
音频、视频、人物描写、表格、诗歌、问卷等。本单元的教学旨在帮助学生认识
到兴趣爱好对于知识学习、人际交往、人生目标制订的重要性，鼓励学生培养丰
富有益的兴趣爱好，促进学生积极与同伴交往，合理规划课余活动并初步思考未
来职业选择。 整个单元的七个板块分别涉及“兴趣爱好”的多个层面。
Pronunciation 板块重点学习元音字母 a、e、i、o、u 在闭音节中的发音，即 / /、
/e/、/ /、/ /、/ /，引导学生根据发音规律正确拼读单词，流畅地朗读以“兴趣爱
好”为话题的诗歌和短文。
二、教学目标
通过本课时学习，学生能够：
1 获取和梳理元音字母在闭音节中的发音规律；
2 区分元音字母在开音节和闭音节中的发音；
3 运用元音字母在开音节和闭音节中的发音规律正确拼读单词，并朗读与兴趣
爱好有关的诗歌和语篇;
4 编写关于 Sandy、Daniel 或者朋友爱好的诗歌，注意押韵与元音字母在闭音节
中的发音。
三、设计思路
Step 1. Revision
The teacher asks the following questions before playing each video to arouse their
interest. Then have students revise the pronunciation of vowels in open syllables with
magic “e”
1 Is “hi” an open syllable or closed syllable
2 Is “hit” an open syllable or closed syllable
3 Which are open syllables and which are closed syllables
4 Does “e” make sounds？
5 How to pronounce “aeiou” in open syllables

设计意图：利用趣味视频复习五个元音字母在开音节和相对开音节中的发音、
magic e 的作用，巩固已知，激发学习兴趣。
Step 2: Pronunciation
1． Have students watch a video about long and short sounds of “aeiou” and answer
the question.

2 Have students read the words in the table on page 25 and pay attention to the sounds
of the letters a, e, i, o and u. Then have students discuss why they are different from
the sounds in “Pronunciation” in Unit 1 and reveal the answer.

The vowel letters in bold are not in open syllables but closed ones. In closed syllables,
the vowels are “closed in” by one or more consonants and usually have short sounds.

how to remember their pronunciation with a formula.

1 Have students finish A on page 25 and read the words in A aloud.

5.Encourage students to write a poem with two sentences to introduce Sandy’s or
Daniel’s or their friends’ hobby with given words and pay attention to sounds of
letters in red and rhymes.

设计意图：通过带领学生运用所学的发音规律拼读新单词，区分元音字母在开音
节和闭音节中的发音，巩固内化已学。鼓励学生根据发音规律，举一反三，准确
朗读句群，并找到诗歌的韵律。最后以写两句英语小诗的形式介绍 Sandy、Daniel
或朋友的爱好，迁移创新，内化所学语音知识，增进对新同学的了解。
