学情分析
自然情况 本课授课对象为九年级学生，大部分学生英语基础较好，小部分学生对英语存有畏惧感。因此，在课堂教学中，事实性问题主要留给这部分学生回答，增加其对英语的成就感，而分析性问题则以同伴或者小组活动的形式由学生共同完成，锻炼团队合作能力。 已有基础 学生对助人工程话题比较熟悉，在历史和地理中均有涉及，对人口问题及措施有一些粗略的感知；学生对于课内词汇有初步的认识并能理解完成时的用法，有80%的同学能够正确使用此句型。 存在问题 学生对美国过去和现在的变化比较陌生，对加拿大工程助人项目也了解较少，对本单元的学习有影响；学生程度参差不齐，接受能力有快有慢，不利于新知识的推进；在语言学习方面，小部分学生对重点语法-现在完成时掌握不到位，尤其是在对话中的使用不太熟悉；在语言技能方面，学生缺乏良好的记笔记的习惯，学习较为被动。 （四）解决措施 鼓励学生在课堂上积极踊跃发言，尊重每个学生的想法，并给予客观公正的评价，而不是期待唯一的标准答案。 培养学生利用现代科学技术检索信息，查阅资料的能力。 在教学过程中，以学生为中心。创设让学生合作交流的学习情境，一起探讨、讨论，共同完成学习任务。并鼓励学生将所学内容与家长进行分享。 教学方式灵活多样，根据学生随堂掌握情况，及时做出调整和改进。 从多角度多维度对学生进行多方位评价。 加强课前普及，督促学生做好课前准备，进一步熟悉助人工程项目。 注重课堂练习，尤其是对话练习，小组合作练习。

单元评价设计
经过本单元的学习，大部分学生能够熟练运用目标语言。通过本单元的学习，学生们能够学习很多关于助人工程的词汇，并且学会谈论动作的持续性，并运用到自身日常生活中；根据图文就助人工程等相关基本情况的话题用简单的语言进行交流。
