Teaching procedures:
Step 1 Review
Review illnesses together by saying out the illness according to the picture.
Review how to give advice to the people who is ill by making dialogues with the partner according to the pictures.
设计意图:通过看图快速反应所学的疾病名词,激活学生对于疾病相关的知识的记忆;并通过师生示范运用功能句询问人的身体状况以及如何提建议,然后让学生们根据图片自己现场编对话,巩固所学内容,为后面写建议做铺垫。
Step 2 Pre-listening
Learn new words through the by creating oral context.
Lead in. Look at the picture in 1a and guess the job of the woman and the man. Guess what they are talking about.
设计意图:创设真实的语境,让学生在语境中理解学习新单词以及词组,反复操练了针对新的疾病该如何提建议,同时也为后面听力任务扫清一些障碍。通过观察图片分析判断对话的两个人的职业以及谈话内容,培养学生借助图片预测听力内容的大意的习惯。
Step 3. While-listening
Listen to 1a and check Dr. Li’s advice. Check the answer.
Ask and answer the general questions with “Must” and read 1d together.
Ask and answer the general questions with “Must” according to 1b.
Watch the flash of 1a.
Act 1a out.
Boys act as Dr. Li and girls act as the journalist.
2) Act 1a out with the partner.
设计意图:学生能运用抓关键词这一听力技巧来完成听力任务。同时结合听力任务内容操练了Must开头的一般疑问句的肯否定回答,巩固关于预防流感的建议。大声朗读模仿语音语调,完整的感知文本。不同形式的分角色朗读,有助于进一步掌握对话内容。
Step 4 Post-listening
Read 1a and fill in the blanks.
Read 1a and find out how many suggestions in 1a and what are these suggestions.
Write down the advice on how to prevent the flu, using should, had better or must according to the picture in 3.
Share more advice on how to prevent the flu.
设计意图:阅读对话,完成由对话改编的短文填空,与中考题型挂钩,同时引导学生如何将对话转化成文章,锻炼解题技巧的同时为后面小组合作写关于建议的短文提供了范本和思路。
Step 5 Project
Watch the newest news about COVID-19.
Project:
Suppose you are Li Ming. You have an American pen pal. Many people lost their lives because of the COVID-19 in the USA. Write a letter to tell her how to prevent the flu.
Four students in a group. Discuss the advice in groups. Each of you should at least say out one suggestion.
Write the letter down.
Ask one or two groups to show their work and lead students to know how to evaluate the composition.
设计意图:结合当下新冠肺炎这一热点新闻,引导学生关注国家新闻世界新闻,关心身边的人。引出今天的小组合作任务,结合今天所学知识以及疫情以来自己的经验,通过小组讨论的形式,合作完成一封写给远在美国的笔友Susan信,给她一些建议。完成语言输入到输出,突出语用功能。
Step 5 Self-evaluation
设计意图:培养学生学习后简单地自我评价是否达成学习的目标的习惯。
Step 6 Homework
Write your own letter to the Amercian pen pal to give her some advice about how to prevent the COVID-19.
