一、教学过程
Step 1- Warm up&Revision 1.Greeting 2. Revision:课件出示相关图片及相应的词汇(cook Chinese food, study Chinese, study English, do word puzzles, go hiking, write a letter/an email, climb mountains, do kung fu, play football, read stories, sing, dance, swim, run) (2) 引导学生把动词变成ing形式,帮助学生复习动词-ing形式的变化规则 3.Lead-in: T: How can you connect with your pen pal (课件出示) Ss: I can connect with my pen pal by… (QQ, WeChat, emails, letters, phone calls…) Step 2-Presentation Let’s try ①课件呈现人物图片,创设语言情境。 T: School is over. Miss White is talking to Wu Binbin. What are they talking about ②学生浏览题干,提前预测听力重点内容。然后老师播放录音,学生完成Let’s try部分的两道选择题。 Q1: What are they talking about S1: B. (A pen pal.) Q2: How old is the student from Australia S2: A. (He is 11 years old.) ③老师再次播放录音,学生跟读听力原文。然后在听力原文中找出听力题的关键信息“pen pal”和“11 years old”。 Read and fill in the blanks. ④学生根据Let’s try部分的内容,补全短文。 T: How old is Wu Binbin’s pen pal Ss: He’s 11 years old. T: Where does he come from Ss: He comes from Australia. Let’s talk (1)呈现A Let’s talk的插图 T: Look at the picture.What is Wu Binbin doing Ss: He’s writing an e-mail to his pen pal. T: Who are John and Wu Binbin talking about Ss: Wu Binbin’s pen pal. T: What do you know about Wu Binbin’s pen pal S1: He’s from Australia. S2: He’s 11 years old. S3: He’s a student. . T: Do you want to know more about his pen pal S1: What’s his name S2: Does he cook Chinese food/... ... T: Let’s read the dialogue with the questions. (2)Learn the text ①初读课文,解决学生们自己提出的问题。 ②再读课文,理解课文。 Does he live in Sydney (教师介绍悉尼) Where does he live (教师介绍澳大利亚的首都堪培拉) Does he like doing word puzzles Does he like going hiking What are the two John like (课件呈现问题,小组讨论,师生核对) ③听录音跟读对话。 ④分角色朗读对话。 ⑤指组表演对话。 (3)两人一组,仿编对话。 Step 3-Practise 1.在笔友网站上为约翰设计一个广告。 T: John is an outgoing boy. He wants to make more friends from different countries. Can you help him design an ad on a pen pal website (1)What message can we share on the website Ss: We can share his name, country, city, age, hobbies, favourite things… T: Well done! If you share more, people can know him better. (2)T: Work in groups. Design an ad for John. You can do like this: Hi! My name is John. I’m…years old. I’m from… I live in… My favourite…is… (3)T: Share your ads. Let’s see which group does best. 2. 完成给约翰的留言(出示课件):引导学生浏览第40页的图表并理解如何写它。然后让学生完成信息并给出一个简短的报告。 3.小记者 采访你的同桌,询问对方父母的信息,完成表格。 问题提示:Does your father/mother work in a... Step 4- Summary T: What did you learn about this lesson 学生自由发言,教师总结。 1.了解了澳大利亚首都堪培拉和著名城市悉尼。 2.谈论他人信息的句型:Does +he/she+动词原形+其他? Yes, he/she does./No, he/she doesn’t.

1. 熟读并背诵Let’s talk部分的内容。 2. 完成本课时相关练习。
四、教学反思
在本节课堂中,既巩固了上一课时所学的重点句型,也学习了澳大利亚的相关知识,拓宽了学生的知识面。在教授对话的过程中,引导学生了解两个John的共同爱好,并认识到具有相似爱好的人更容易成为朋友。
