教学目标 ☆语言知识 能听、说、认读单词Munich，Germany，Alaska，sled， fast，ferry 和 Papa Westray，Scotland；能读懂 Read and write 部分的内容并完成相应练习；能掌握句子在发音上的连读技巧。 ☆思维&情感&文化 2.能力目标：培养学生良好的阅读习惯，掌握正确的阅读方法。 3.情感目标：让学生了解不同国家的文化差异和出行方式。
教学重难点 能够听懂、读懂“Read and write”板块的短文，并能够根据短文内容完成相应的练习。 能够了解不同国家的文化差异和出行方式。
教学准备 课件、相关音频视频和实物教具（单词卡片物品等）。
教学过程 Step 1: Warm up 1. Greetings. 2. Review. Hold a model of traffic lights. Talk with students. T：What do the traffic lights mean Ss：Red means… Green means… Yellow means… T：You are so clever! Do you know different countries have different traffic rules For example, in China, we walk on the right of the road. But in England, people should walk on the left. Do you know any other countries’ ways of transportation Now, let’s see what we will learn today! Lead-in. Show some pictures. (出示课件) Help students know the names of these places. T: Do you know these places Let’s guess where they are. T: This is Munich. It’s in Germany. This is Alaska. It’s very cold. It’s in USA. This is Jiangxi province. There are lots of mountains and rivers. This is Papa Westray. It’s in Scotland. Students read after the teacher. Step 2 Presentation 课件呈现Read and write板块的图片，引导学生观察图片。 T: Who are they S1: Robin and Wu Binbin’s grandpa. Grandpa is ill. T: What does Robin want to do S2: He wants to read a magazine to Grandpa. T: What’s the magazine about S3: Different ways to go to school. T: Now let’s learn how they go to school. Read the text and answer the questions. 学生浏览课本P19的习题，预测文章重点内容。 学生阅读短文内容并回答问题。 T: How many ways to go to school can you find in the text S1: There are four ways to go to school. T: Does everyone in the text go to school S2:No, they don’t. Robin doesn’t go to school. Step 3 Practice Choose some suggestions for the kids. 学生分组朗读句子。 学生为孩子们选择合适的建议。 T: What suggestions will you give to these kids Ss: Don’t.../ You must... 2.分小组讨论，针对本组成员上学的交通方式，提出安全建议并制作海报。 Step4:Tips of pronunciation&Make a summary. 1.Tips for pronunciation. Play the recording of “Tips for pronunciation”. （课件出示：教材P19 Tips for pronunciation的音频） Let students listen and compare, then find out the rule of pronunciation. Tell students the law of linking sounds. Ask students to listen again and repeat. Then let students find and say more words like these from the text on page 18. 2.Summary T: What did you learn about this class 学生自由发言，教师总结。 (1)学习了单词和词组：Munich, Germany, Alaska, Papa Westray, Scotland, by sled, by ferry (2)了解了不同国家学生上学的交通方式。 (3)学习了语音的连读。

以思维导图的形式展示课时名称和重点词汇、句型。
三、作业设计
1. 背诵Read and write部分的课文。 2. 完成本课时对应的练习。
四、教学反思
本课时是一节阅读课。课文介绍了四个不同国家、不同地区学生上学的方式。在上课过程中，为了使学生易于接受地名和国名的词汇，课堂上呈现了丰富的图片。一方面开阔了学生的眼界，另一方面加深了学生对不同上学方式的理解。
