教学目标
1.Students are able to understand and use vocabulary and sentence structures that describe farms such as “cow, duck,What animals does... have He/She has...How many... does... have ” 2.Students can deepen their understanding of farm animals and colors through reading and discussion. 3.Students are able to apply their learned knowledge to complete fill in the blank exercises and creatively describe the farm. 4. Ss are able to be interested in knowing about the culture of foreign countries.
教学内容
Teaching key points: 1.Master vocabulary for describing farm animals. 2. Correctly use colors to describe objects on the farm. 3.Properly use basic sentence patterns to inquire and answer information. Teaching difficult points: 1.Students are able to accurately use adjectives and nouns to describe the farm environment. 2.Students are able to flexibly apply the vocabulary and sentence patterns they have learned in creative writing. 3.Master the method of summarizing the general idea of paragraphs by using different reading strategies.
教学过程
Step 1. Lead-in Greetings to students in multiple language styles: "Good morning, future farmers! I hope you're ready for a day on the farm.” T displays diverse farm images, including different animals, plants, and buildings and asks Ss to Observe the pictures and discuss possible farm activities and animals. T asks questions to stimulate students' interest. “Did you do anything fun over the weekend ” (Design Intention:By greeting and sharing, establish teacher-student interaction, review old knowledge, and stimulate interest in new lessons) Step 2 Pre-reading T shows students pictures of animals in different colors:“Here's a red cow and a white sheep. Can you name the colors and animals ”. T asks students to match the animal to its name and color. T encourages students to use sentence structures for description:”What's this/that It's a black and white cow.” (Design Intention:Through visual aids, guide students to pay attention to the English expression of personal information and prepare for learning new vocabulary and sentence patterns) Match card NameColour
Step 3: While-reading Teachers require students to read and fill in the blanks, observe and discuss the content of pictures, and write creatively. T guide students to read Text 1b and complete the fill in the blank exercise. T asks Ss to discuss other content in images 1a. T guides Ss to write an article about the farm in their own words. (Design Intention:Deepen students' understanding of the farm environment through reading, discussion, and writing) Step 4 Post-reading T asks to design Farm: Students work in pairs to design a farm. T asks students to draw a sketch: Label your farm drawing with the names of the animals and colors. T guides Ss to present their work to the class and share reasons for their design. (Design Intention:By imitating and practicing, students can improve their pronunciation awareness and accuracy.) Step 5. Summary T guides Ss to work together and summarize what they have learned in this class. T ask questions such as“Today we learned how to describe a farm using numbers, colors, and animal names”. Step 6. Homework Must do: Write a passage about your farm design and explain what you included. Make your own mind map of what learned . Choose to do: Practice describing your farm to your family members.
