Period 3 Section A Grammar Focus
一、教材分析
What: 时态内容主要介绍含实义动词的一般现在时及名词所有格；语篇为介绍自己及哥哥、姐姐的外貌，性格及爱好。
Why: 学生需学会正确的使用实义动词，能够用正确的语言向他人介绍自己的家人，并明白家人之间的异同，增强与家人之间的情感联系。
How: 第一部分通过分析总结所给例句，找到动词第三人称的使用规则；第二部分通过习题练习名词所有格的用法；第三部分通过篇章练习实义动词和不同主语进行匹配时的使用规则，通过介绍自己及哥哥、姐姐的外貌，性格及爱好等信息引入相关的句型；最后一部分通过对家人的询问和回答深化练习本课时核心句型。
二、教学内容
1. 含实义动词的一般现在时及名词所有格。
2. 描述家人的常用语料。
三、教学目标
1. 掌握以下重点单词及短语：
grandparent, funny, laugh, different, violin, have fun, make us laugh
2. 掌握下列句型：
Teng Fei and his grandpa play ping-pong every week.
Teng Fei’s grandpa loves sports.
—Do you play the piano？—Yes，I do./No，I don't.
—Does your father spend a lot of time fishing？—Yes，he does./No，he doesn't.
—Whose piano is this？—It’s my mother’s.
We are all different, but we have a lot of fun together.
I’m not tall or short.
3. 学生能够用正确的语言向他人介绍自己的家人。
4.通过比较自己和家人之间的异同，明白家人对自己的意义，建立对家人爱护之情。
四、教学重难点
重点：正确使用实义动词的适当形式。
难点：学生能够区分实义动词在不同语境中的使用规则。
理解描述家人的语篇结构，语言特点。

图片，音乐，多媒体等。
六、教学过程
Step 1 Lead in
Show students some pictures and ask them to make a sentence with the picture.
T: Look at the picture.What does the boy like
Ss: He likes playing football.
T: What does she like
Ss: They like playing tennis.
T: What does the old man have
Ss: He has a red bat.
T: What doe the boy like
Ss: He likes Chinese chess.
【设计意图】通过看图介绍人物的形式导入新课，帮助学生复习已有句型及单词，同时为接下来的学习作铺垫。
Step 2 Presentation
1. Learn the new words by PPT.
2. Work on 3a
（1）Let students look through the sentences in 3a, circle the verbs, discuss in groups and try to find out the rules. Using the following chart to help students find out the rules.
How do the verb forms change with the subjects？
What are the change rules of the third person singular forms of verbs？
3. Let students share their answers in class.
【设计意图】通过小组观察，讨论和总结，学生可以掌握动词第三人称单数形式的变化规律和用法。
Step 3 Knowledge time
1. Look through the sentences in the form in 3a and conclude the different sentence patterns about be verbs.
2. Work on 3b.
1. Show sentences about possessions in 1b, 1c, 2a and let students make a summary about the usage: A’s…，B’s…，A and B’s…，A’s and B’s.
2. Ask students to complete the sentences with the correct possessive form( ’s) of the words in brackets.
3. Ask students to share their answers in class and the teacher helps to correct if necessary.
【设计意图】观察、总结含实义动词的句型句式，以任务为导向，推动主动学习与深度思考。
Step 4 Practicing
1. Work on 3c. Let students finish 3c in two minutes.
Check the answers: has; makes; is; likes; talk; play; are.
2. Let students conclude the useful sentence pattern or phrases and fill in the table.
词汇 介绍外貌：tall, short hair, short, long brown hair, not tall or short介绍性格：funny, a quiet girl,介绍异同：different介绍程度：really, well, a lot of介绍情绪：have fun
句式 引入外貌：My brother/sister is... She/He has...介绍性格：She/He is...介绍爱好：She/He likes...介绍活动：She/He often...
总结 We are all different, but we have a lot of fun together.
3. Work on 3d.
1．Students work in pairs, ask and answer questions about each other’s family.
T: Now please tell us something about your family.You have three minutes.Go!
2．Ask some pairs to act out the dialogue in front of the class.
【设计意图】通过层层递进的练习，从读到说，帮助学生巩固和内化含有实义动词的主谓一致原则，并通过总结3c中出现的句式，为接下来的介绍家人做好充分的语言准备。
Step 5 imitative writing
1. Let students write a short essay to introduce the information about their family members: appearance 、likes、activities and so on according to the tips in 3c and the above knowledge.
2. Let students change, read and correct others’ essay.
3. Choose some good essays to show in class.
【设计意图】通过短文仿写介绍自己的家人，将语法知识的学习融汇与真实的交际情境之中，促进学生的学以致用。同时，通过介绍自己的家人，进一步感知与家人的关系，促进家庭关系的和谐发展。
Step 6 Homework
1. 根据课堂师生的互评，修订自己的短文。
2. 完成教师提供的课后练习题。
