教学目标 1能够运用略读、扫读的阅读技巧，读懂与出国旅行相关话题的文章，思考导游在面临中外差异时应注意的地方。 2通过阅读中外饮食翻译、中外习俗相关内容，能够理解中外不同思维方式。 3 能够建立差异意识，理解尊重不同的文化；积极提升自身专业知识，用英语介绍好中国景点、讲好中国故事，传播中华文化，展现中国自信。 4 能够综合运用听说读写技巧，采用恰当的学习方法，梳理思路、拓展思维、呈现信息，养成良好的英语学习习惯。
教学重点 能够通过阅读与中国菜肴翻译方法、中外国家小费习俗差异相关的文章，思考导游在跨文化交际下应注意的问题。

Warm-up 3’ T shows some pictures of Chinese cuisine and asks Ss to translate them. 引导学生思考如何翻译中国菜肴，引入话题。 能够感知中餐翻译的思路。
Pre-reading 3’ T asks Ss to think and discuss two questions before the reading. 引导学生思考读前两个问题，为读中环节做准备。 能够说出饮食、习俗、文化差异等；能够尝试思考导游工作在跨文化交际中的重要性。
Reading 20’ 1. Ss skim the two introductions about cultural differences and get the main idea of each reading. 略读文章，获取两篇介绍的主题。 能够说出两篇介绍的主题：Chinese dishes on the menus和local customs (about tips)。
2. Ss scan the first introduction, find out the example of Chinese cuisine translation and think about the reasons why the direct translation causes misunderstanding. 通过搜寻文本中例子，思考直译中国美食带来误解的原因以及中外思维方式的不同。 能够找到“夫妻肺片”的例子，理解它的翻译方法。
3. Ss in pairs try to translate some different Chinese dishes: mapo Tofu, Shizi Tou, Dongpo Rou, etc. 通过翻译其他中国菜肴，感受并讲好中国美食背后的中国文化，加深对涉外导游工作的理解。 能够基本正确翻译中国菜肴。
4. Ss scan the second introduction and state different tipping culture in different countries. 通过理解不同国家的小费文化，进一步理解导游在跨文化交际上的重要性。 能够说出在不同国家小费文化的区别。
Post-reading 9’ T gives some topics such as numbers, religious beliefs, table manners etc and ask Ss to discuss in pairs whether there if any other difference in different culture. 引导学生讨论中外文化、思维方式等的不同，帮助学生在职场中避免误解。 能够说出一些中外文化的不同，例如：数字的象征意义、宗教信仰、餐桌礼仪等。
My progress check 8’ 1. Ss review the words and expressions learnt in this unit. Ss check their learning in reference to the checklist. 学生对所学词汇、表达和单元学习目标进行自我反思，自我检测，养成良好的学习习惯。 能够掌握单元词汇和表达的基本含义，完成单元学习目标。
2. In group, Ss describe the work of a tour guide and talk about the qualities a good tour guide should have. 将所学内容进行巩固，提升语言的综合应用能力。 能够利用所学的表达描述单元主题相关内容。
