教学过程
Step 1. Lead-in 1.The teacher displays a picture of the schedule and asks “what is mentioned in the picture ” 2. The teacher introduces the keyword: club activities through questioning. The teacher displays pictures related to weekend activities, such as table tennis, cosplay, etc., and asks, "Have you participated in similar activities on weekends？” （Design Intention：Through intuitive pictures and question guidance, stimulate students' interest in describing the location of objects, and lay the foundation for learning new vocabulary and sentence patterns.） Step 2 Pre-reading 1. The teacher shows students pictures of school clubs, such as art clubs, science clubs, etc., and asks the students, "Which club do you think this picture shows 2.The teacher leads the students to learn vocabulary related to the club name and uses PPT to present the club name. Students watch club pictures and learn related vocabulary. 3.Teachers organize interactive exercises for students: have students practice in pairs, with one person describing the club in the picture and the other guessing. （Design Intention：By using pictures to stimulate students' observation and imagination, it lays the foundation for learning new vocabulary and sentence patterns for describing positions.） Step 3: While-reading 1.Teachers organize listening exercises for students: play recorded conversations about the club they want to join, and have students listen and record the information. 2.Teachers organize students to play roles: assign roles, let students play roles according to what they hear, and deepen dialogue understanding and oral expression. 3.The teacher plays the recording and reminds students to pay attention to the pronunciation of different vowels and consonants. Teachers demonstrate to students and require them to imitate and complete pronunciation exercises. Students repeat the following phonetic symbols and practice in groups. 4. Teachers organize students to engage in role-playing activities, dividing them into groups where one group plays the role of a club leader and the other group plays the role of a student for dialogue practice. Step 4 Post-reading 1. The teacher explains modal verbs, explains the usage of "can" and "can't", and demonstrates it through example sentences. 2. Sentence matching, the teacher gives students a set of sentences and asks them to match the appropriate "can" or "can't" form. 3. The teacher provides students with a short essay and completes a description of Linda by filling in the blanks with "can" and "can't". Students observe the usage of the modal verb 'can', complete sentence matching exercises, and fill in the blanks to describe Linda's abilities and hobbies. （Design Intention：By observing, matching, and applying, help students master the usage of modal verbs and be able to use them flexibly.） Step 5. Homework Must do： Complete a short introduction about your favourite club. Write down your opinions on club. Choose to do: Finish a survey to conduct favourite club of other students.
