Revision and Warm-up 6’ T shows the example emails of the homework last time. Ss tell the mistakes and suggest ways to correct them in terms of email etiquette. 检查作业情况,带领学生复习旧知,强化语言知识学习效果。 说出作业中违反邮件礼仪的错误做法并提出修改建议。
2. T elicits that people need to follow different etiquette in life, especially when they are giving or receiving gifts. Ss talk about the most memorable or worst gifts they have received. T encourages Ss to tell why they like or dislike the gifts. 导入本课主题,为本课背景词汇作铺垫,让学生做好学习准备。 说出过往收礼经历并分析喜欢、讨厌某一礼物的原因。
Pre-reading 4’ 1. T encourages Ss to talk about the rules and taboos of giving gifts in both China and foreign countries and business situations according to their own knowledge. 引出本课主题,激活文化背景知识,铺垫重点词汇。 根据个人知识储备说出中外的送礼规则和禁忌。
2. T shows some country names and rules of giving gifts. T asks Ss to guess and choose the suitable rules for different countries. T tells Ss that they will find answers in the text. 创设悬念以调动学生阅读兴趣。 猜测不同国家的送礼规则。
While-reading 18’ Ss skim the text to get the gist of it. T asks Ss to underline the topic sentence of the text. T checks the answer. 通过扫读掌握语篇大意及要点,训练学生利用首段确定语篇主题句的阅读技巧,提升学生阅读的专注度和效率。 扫读后在首段内找出语篇主题句,说出语篇主题。
Ss read again and circle the five countries mentioned and introduced in the text. T checks the answer. 训练学生通过寻读获取特定信息的能力。 快速读取语篇中的国家名。
Ss read the text again and find out the rules of giving gifts in the five countries and the reasons for them. 验证读前的猜测,并训练学生在语篇中获取细节信息的能力。 提取五个国家的送礼规则、禁忌及成因。
4. T shows the following questions and Ss work in groups to find out the answers. 5. T comments on Ss' discussion and concludes that people should follow the proverb suggested in the text and always respect the etiquette of giving gifts in both business situations and cross-cultural settings. 及时引导学生形成正确的跨文化理解和价值观,督促学生始终以理解和尊重的态度去看待不同的文化,达成优秀的跨文化礼仪素养。
Post-reading 9’ 1. T shows more countries and rules of giving gifts. Ss work in groups to match the country names and the rules. Ss show the answers group by group and T checks the answers. 拓展更多国家的送礼规则和禁忌,增加跨文化知识储备,深化跨文化理解。 通过小组合作讨论匹配国家与送礼规则及禁忌。
2. Role-play and Guess: Ss work in groups to role-play the people giving and receiving gifts in different countries. After practice, Ss perform in front of the class and the audience Ss guess which country the performing Ss are in according to their behaviours, facial expressions, reactions and language. 将本课语言知识从书面拓展到表演运用,有效实现知识的内化,为学生正确践行跨文化理解奠定基础。 通过小组分工合作共同演出不同文化下人们送收礼物的过程,观众依据演员行为、表情和语言等猜测演员所处的国家或文化。
3. As a summary, T leads Ss to go through the board writing of rules of giving gifts and reminds Ss to keep the tips down on the notebooks. 及时小结重点内容并促成学生利用板书和笔记进行高效学习的习惯。 回顾语篇要点并在笔记本上记录重点内容。
Fun Time 7’ T shows three examples of sentence stress and reads for Ss, clapping at sentence stresses. Ss listen first and then read and repeat after the teacher. 给出句子重音范例,引导学生主动观察语音现象。 听辨句子重音并感知句子重读的位置。
Ss observe and discuss the example sentences in pairs, trying to conclude where the sentence stresses fall. T checks Ss' conclusion and then explains the rules of sentence stress with more example sentences. 通过观察、讨论、沟通,尝试总结出句子重音规律,培养其归纳、总结能力。 尝试总结出句子重读的规律。
T shows exercise sentences and Ss mark the sentence stresses on their own. Ss read the sentences with stresses and T evaluates and corrects their pronunciation. Ss read after T for betterment. 及时使用语音知识分析新句子,加强知识运用能力;跟读加深对句子重音规律的理解和把握,进一步构建语音知识体系。 独立标注句子重音并跟随教师朗读句子。
Homework 1’ 1. Keep down and review the new words and expressions learnt today in the notebook. 2. Practise reading aloud the text and send the audio clip to the learning platform. 3.
