Pre-reading5’ T shows Ss pictures of high-tech products and asks Ss to tell their understanding of those pictures. T asks Ss the two questions before the text in books and students share their ideas. 学习重点词汇，调动学生阅读兴趣,引导学生运用读前预测的阅读策略。 正确说出社区服务活动的相关英文表达，并用简单的英文说出社区服务活动的意义。
While-reading18’ T asks Ss to skim the text and get the gist of i. Ss check the prediction. 通过扫读掌握文章大意，核对读前预测，提高学生阅读的专注度和效率。 读懂并找出相关词句，明确语篇的主题。
Ss read the text and circle keywords of each paragraph which illustrate a certain high-tech product or programme. 通过阅读任务训练学生获取信息的能力，尤其是能够找到围绕主题展开说明的特定信息。 正确捕捉语篇中的说明性语言。
Ss check in pairs, and tell the definition of keywords by underlining the topic sentences in three paragraphs. T checks the answers with Ss. 鼓励学生通过讨论找到描述性语言中的关键词，从而引导学生把握语篇的主旨。 找到句子及关键词（每个段落的第一句话），理解大意。

Fun Time7’ 1. T plays recordings of three sentences, and asks Ss to listen and try to tell how to read a sentence fluently and in rhyme. 给出范例，引导学生主动观察语音知识，总结出用法。 学生感知句子中的语音连读。
T explains the rule of liaison: final consonant of the former word ~ the initial vowel of the following word. Ss underline the link parts with the learnt rule in the sentences. 构建学生的正确的知识体系。 学生尝试根据意群正确划出连读部分。
