 Section A 1a—4
  This lesson introduces students to the English vocabulary,sentence patterns,and numerals related to animals and plants found in a yard,fostering their basic English language skills.
◆ Language Proficiency(语言能力)
1.Be able to identify and correctly use English vocabulary for animals and plants in a yard,as well as numerals.
2.Differentiate and apply singular and plural forms of vocabulary and sentence patterns accurately.
◆ Cultural Awareness(文化意识)
By introducing animals and plants in a yard,students will develop a love for nature and life and a deeper understanding and appreciation for the natural environment,fostering a sense of environment conservation.

Through listening exercises and conversational interactions,students' logical thinking and quick response abilities will be improved.

Foster students' self directed and collaborative learning skills,and encourage them to apply English in daily life.

Activity 1 Warming up and revision(感知与注意)
T:Good morning,class!Can you tell me what you can see in a yard
S:I can see flowers and trees.
T:Very good!Today,we're going to learn about some plants and animals in a yard.
设计意图:通过提问激活学生已有的知识,引起学生对院子中动植物的兴趣,为新课内容做好铺垫。
Activity 2 Presentation(获取与梳理)
Work on 1a
T:Look at the picture on the screen.Let's match the plants and animals with their names.
(Students match the names with the pictures.)
设计意图:通过图片匹配活动,帮助学生直观认识院子中的动植物,并学习相关词汇。
Work on 1b
T:Now,let's talk about the plants and animals in the picture.I'll ask,and you answer.
T:What's that
S:It's a cat.

Activity 3 Presentation(获取与梳理)
Work on 2a
T:Now,let's listen to the numbers and repeat.
(The teacher plays the recording and students repeat the numbers.)

T:Listen again and write down the numbers you hear.
(The teacher plays the recording again and students write down the numbers.)

T:Now,listen to the conversations.You need to circle the correct answers based on what you hear.

Activity 5 Practice(概括与整合)
Work on 2d
T:Using the picture in 1a,create your own conversation with your partner.You can use the sentence patterns we've learned today.
T:I'll give you a few minutes.Start your conversation.
(Students practise conversations and the teacher walks around the classroom and provides help.)

Activity 6 Pronunciation(归纳与应用)
Work on 1
T:We will now focus on pronunciation.Listen to the words and repeat after me,paying attention to the vowel sounds.
T:Cat.The letter “a” makes an / / sound.
Ss:(Students repeat.) Cat.
T:Good!
Then teach the others (/e/,/ /,/ /,/ /) like this.Summarize the rules about vowel sounds.Then listen and practise reading the words again.
设计意图:通过发音练习,帮助学生掌握五个元音字母在闭音节中的发音。
Work on 2
Play the recording for students to listen.Then ask them to put the words into the correct groups.
Check the answers together.
Ask students to discuss in groups to compare the different pronunciations.Then show the rules about vowel sounds on the screen.
设计意图:通过听读,学生将单词按对应的元音字母的发音进行归类,感受元音字母的两种不同的发音。同时,学生在教师的指导下以小组形式探讨元音字母的发音,可以明晰元音字母在开音节和闭音节中的不同发音。
Work on 3
Ask students to work in pairs and try to read the words.Have a competition to see which group reads more accurately.

Activity 7 Chant(内化与运用)
Work on 4
Ask students to listen to the chant and read it aloud,paying attention to the vowel sounds.
Play the recording for them again.Try to find the pattern or rule in the chant.Then get them to repeat after the recording.
Invite some students to read the chant.
设计意图:通过朗读chant,提高学生的语感,同时培养他们发现语言规律的能力。
Activity 8 Homework(反馈与强化)
Create a dialogue,using the new words and sentence patterns we've learned today.You can also draw a picture to illustrate your dialogue.
During the teaching process,attention should be paid to students' mastery of new vocabulary,and providing timely feedback.
Reflect on the performance of students in listening and speaking activities,considering how to more effectively improve their listening and speaking skills.Discuss how to integrate students' real life experiences to make language learning more vivid and practical.
