This lesson is set against the backdrop of farm life,introducing students to new vocabulary,sentence patterns,and grammatical structures through descriptions of animals and plants on the farm,including their quantities,colours,and other attributes.The content of the textbook is closely related to students' daily lives,aiming to cultivate their language proficiency,observation skills,and descriptive abilities.Additionally,it enhances students' reading comprehension and written expression through reading and writing exercises.

1.Master farm related vocabulary such as “cow”,“duck”,“farm”,etc.;learn and use basic sentence patterns to describe animal species,quantities,colours,and other attributes.

T:Now,work in groups and find out beautiful sentences about how to write about the farm according to the passage in 1b.Then collect some on the blackboard:Look at…They are…How many…do you see?I see….This is a…farm.Do you like…?
T:Look at the picture in 1a and write about Han Lin's uncle's farm in your own words.

After they finish 1e,get some to read their passages.While reading,the others try to choose whose passage is the best and tell the reasons.

Activity 7 Design your own farm(想象与创造)
T:Now it's time for our exciting project!Imagine you have your own farm.Take a moment to think about what animals and plants you would like to have.
S:I want to have a farm with sheep and horses.
T:Great!And what colour would you like them to be
S:I want the sheep to be white and the horses to be brown.
T:Very nice choices.How many of each would you like to have
S:I'd like to have ten sheep and three horses.
T:Now,draw your farm on paper.You can add any detail you like,such as barns,ponds,and even a house.
(Students start drawing.)
T:Once you're done,we'll share your farms with the class.I'm excited to see everyone's creations!

Draw a picture of your uncle's/aunt's farm and introduce the farm to your friends.
During the teaching process,more attention should be paid to the individual differences of students,and teaching strategies should be adjusted flexibly to meet the needs of students at different levels.Encourage students to think more,ask more questions,and promote their understanding of farm scenes and language expression through discussion and sharing.Strengthen guidance on students' pronunciation and intonation,especially in the project sharing session,to ensure that each student can confidently present their own farm design.In future teaching,more diversified teaching resources can be introduced.
